Food Security- Act

In the weekend my sister and I created a garden filled with veges. This includes carrots, lettuce, strawberries, beans and raspberries. This is very helpful as food is always fresh and comes without cost.

Empowering Women- Learn

In Sudan: Changing labels, changing lives

Ghalfa, the Sudanese word describing a girl who has not had her genitals ritually cut, carries connotations of impurity, promiscuity, even prostitution. However, the word Saleema means wh***, intact, healthy in body and mind, unharmed, pristine, untouched, in a God-given condition, perfect. This distinction is reframing the conversation about female genital mutilation/cutting.…

What Would I Do?

I would set up a kind of hospital, with food, water, medicines and some first aid kits. Also start preparing for the future, with crops, also making sure that workers don't catch the flu. I would also prepare to be able to survive without help from other big cities/villages.

Power Up Tiles

I could discover some interest energy projects, which partially in use. For example, the use of energy-producing tiles. The idea is, that everytime when somebody walks on this slab, it produce energy. By every step the kinetic energy changed in electricity by a dynamo. This slabs could be used in a disco as a dancefloor or in a shopping street. These slabs are called Pavegen-slabs and should used between the Westfield City Shopping Center and the olympic stadion for the Olympics 2012 in…

Future Of Money

The world of Africa Micro Enterprise developing program offers microloans to poor African women who want to start their own business. Women generally depend on their husbands and have to deal with incredibly high interest rates when asking for a loan. Therefore, these microloanes (50$ - 800$) solve quite a few problems.

Water Crisis- John Paul Cassil

John Paul Cassil-

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), one in three people are affected by a lack of water to meet daily needs. What’s worse, almost 6,000 people die every day due to a lack of safe drinking water, 2 million people every year. These people suffer simply because they do not have one of the things that the developed world takes completely for granted — clean water.

John's trying to help by thinking of creative new ways to help people in need of good…

Spread The Word

5 ways YOU could help spread the word about a Global Crisis are.....

1. Putting up the word on online networks such as, Facebook, Twitter and MySpace. As technology is rapidly changing, many people these days are spending more and more time on computers and iPads making this a fast way to spread news.

2. Talk to your family, friends and associates and tell THEM to spread the word.

3. Cellphones. Many teenagers have their cellphones as an extension of their arms and mass…

Social Innovation

My favourite secret is: What you have matters more than what you lack. (If you’ve got a bicycle, consider what you can build based on that, rather than worrying about not having a car, a truck, a metal shop.) This means your lucky to have what you've got and not to winge about things you don't have. There is many people in the world that wont even have a bike but you could be winging about not having a car. I think this could help me change the world because I will be making use of what I…

Food Security Issues

The worst food security problem near me is home cooking house fires. In NZ an estimated 5000 house fires are started every year. An average of 27 people die every year. This is an ever growing problem. Numerous studies have proven that over a period of 10 years, house fires have increasingly grown. I would like you to read this and keep this in mind for the next time you do any home cooking.

My Special Day In 2020

How do I look? Are my pants bright enough? Ok, calm down. The party will start any minute. My 20th birthday. Almost half the country seems to be here. My birthday is in the afternoon so we can use all the solar panels to power everything. It's going to be great. We tried to make everything ECO, from the recycled paper cups to the way we power the dim lights. Ok, smile. This is going to be fun.

When I am 100

When I am 100, I will tell my grand kids all about the beginning of the world. How mankind evolved from that and "how it was back in the old days". I would also share our family pork dumpling recipe. YUM! When I am older I want people to remember me. So I would tell them all about my life- the past, the present and the future.

Vietnamese Currency

I have just come back from a 2 week trip to Vietnam and while I was there I tried their currency and money machines and learnt about how hard it is to earn money and how poor all the people are.

My Secret Event

My event would be on a beach with plenty of sports activities and food and drink stands. It would be free but there will be donation boxes placed at every stand or activity. There would be big dances and lots of prizes to be won for people who donated over $10. The music would be loud and happy and everyone would be able to dance and sing along.

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
