How Carrollton is resiliant.

If something goes wrong we have 100% cell phone coverage to call 911, text twitter, and facebook, and to take video, and pictures to the media.. Civil defense sirens help as well. We aight.

It helps.

It helps that there are more than one way to get out the word about a crisis, but we already have Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, CNN iReport, and much more. Another connection is good to have as a last resort.

I hope in 2020...

I hope that by 2020, that women and people of minorities all across the world has the equal opportunities that are experinced here in the United States.

What we can all do.

I have spoken to many heads of households throughout my short life to prove to them that by allowing their wives, and daughters to go to school, and then work. Then by having the children go to daycare, and schooling. The family unit is overall better off. Most I have convinced, but there are still a few that will be stuck in their ways. The key is to convince the younger generation. The fact remains all people die. So if we get to the younger generation of males, they will grow up to change… Continue

Roles of Women.

I think that this weeks set of slides explains the bigger picture. To have equal rights for women you must convince the men that by giving them rights you are helping society. Unless you can do that you wont accomplish anything. You can not obtain equal rights by the barrel of a gun.

Money in 2020.

I hope that the situation in 2020 will be private, and more unregulated. With more money due to lower taxes, people can donate more. Therefore everyone wins. The problem isn't that Lassiez-Faire Capitalism doesn't work. It's that people in power are greedy. I am 100% against any governmental interference ever, and I donate 10% of my income to my church, and a good 15% to local charities. I file the 1040 ez form, which for you non-Americans means that I don't get any tax breaks. I am single so I… Continue

You all know my stance on the issue.

My dream is to let the free market work itself out, and see all charity as private charity. Think Churches instead of government. It can work.

The future of money, indeed.

This is where I must show my difference with the Urgent Evoke Community, ALL aide should be private. The government be damned!!!!

Aide.

Aide should be private says my $100 donation to the Salvation Army, a college student can only give so much. I try, and accomplish.

The situation is bad!

To think African countries are cheated out of fair pricing. If the free economic system was allowed to work, it would be better.

Water Day 2020

Make every day water day, and build wells, and cut consumption of water.

What I am doing now to save water.

By taking a cold bath with only 1 inch deep water, and replacing the faucet heads on all of my sinks, I have saved 56 gallons of water in one month!

Water Security

To learn that 1 in 6 people on the planet go without clean water is sickening. To think that people eat fast food, and drink caffeinated drinks without thinking that they could donate that money for a great cause.

Holiday 2020.

I don't celebrate holidays. They waste resources, and are unproductive. It's just common sense people. Make everyday special, and you'll love life all the more.

New power to my phone.

I bought me one of these solar phone chargers.

The real solution.

The problem with the issue of energy is the fact that people simply use as much energy that they currently use. It would make more sense in the short term to use less, and then change over to sustainable resources. It's simply more cost effective this way. By buying an efficient netbook, instead of a laptop. By turning off the lights. By unplugging when not in use. By taking cold showers. By eating food that doesn't have to be heated all these things can decrease our reliance on energy. This is… Continue

What I am eating 10 years from now.

I am eating a meal that's 100% vegetarian. I am drinking only water. The vegetables came from the store, and the water out of my faucet. It's just a plain salad with cheese. With French fries, and Ketchup. Yummy!

What I have done to increase sustainability.

I have shown my mother how to cook with leftovers, to make a different meal from 4 others. I have talked to others about the importance of waiting to go to the store when you truly finish off everything in your pantry. Potatoes, Ketchup, paprika, and eggs you have a meal. You can do a lot with a little. Reevaluate what you truly have instead of going out to the store just because you don't have a lot of food.

The biggest issue in my city.

I live in Carrollton, Texas, in the United States. There isn't any real issue with food now, but I fear that if people just go around eating like food is limitless then what will happen when there is one? So I have talked to people about eating less. In regards to my own community there isn't a problem, so fortunately for me I am faced with only the issue of preparing for the future. I give all thanks to G-d that I am safe. It will take education, and dedication to talk to people about… Continue

How Open Source Helps The World!

I was looking at new computers. The cheapest Netbook with Windows I found was $150. The same Netbook with Linux only $100. Openoffice.org is free, while Microsoft Office is not. I believe that we can aid developing countries in developed countries by switching to open sourced formats. Sure it my be hypocritical that I use a BlackBerry, and Windows OS, but both were given to me for free, as hand me downs. Now I realize that my BlackBerry which is four years old, and my laptop that is five years… Continue

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. The meal

It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal. I walk to the fridge and open it to see what there is for me to eat. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Foods are vacc** sealded for easy…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
