On EcoTourism...

I decided to dedicate a part of my blog for your input about challenging food security and water scarcity, sustainable energy sources, empowering women and perserving Indigeneous Knowledge!

My thesis question is: what is the impact of tourism and how to promote a more sustainable travels?

I chose Sinai Peninsula in Egypt for a case study!

Evokation

I created a program to fight poverty and social exclusion in my current city Barcelona. I am an architect who is intersted in building for people with limited resources and designing concepts that addresses societal problems as well as environmental. However, I feel challenged to raise awareness of other designers and architects on the impact of their design when those parameters are not taken into consideration. There are few…

on Nieman's Guide!

Nieman Guide to crisis communication is a direct descriptive answer to Flu hazard. with every flu pandemics, the media and news channels makes a nightmare of every minute I am personally watching,, simply many of them are reporting just for the sake of being involved.. I would rather hear about such crisis from a credible source with scientific data directly linked with disease control and prevention centers.. I have been raised in a country in war and that never slowed me down or stopped me… Continue

Learning from our forefather's Architecture!

Before the industrial revolution in 1940's and before people had access to technological building materials as in steel and concrete, they used to build from local quarries/ wood or other depending on their resources and climate. they used to understand simple natural phenomenon as in the prevailing wind direction and sun orientation. you may tell me that you don't need to be an architect/engineer to note these simple observations, but…

Lebanon construction code did not mitigate earthquake hazards untill 5 years ago..

The importance of building codes was made evident in the weeks following the earthquakes in Haiti and Chile. NOW’s Sarah Lynch reports on what Lebanon is doing about safety.

The disastrous earthquakes that recently shook Haiti and Chile came without warning. But their outcomes might lead one to believe otherwise. While Chile saw an earthquake 800 times stronger than that in Haiti, the damage was significantly less—something experts attribute to Haiti’s poor infrastructure.…

birds of the same feather flock together!

I am not a monetary expert, but I do have a vision. throughout history people migrated "in flocks" and settled forming villages, towns and then cities together. people must have had more tribal / communal sense of belonging for emerging well-knit dwellings against any type of danger. nowadays, we are way more liberated and secure to travel all the time even individually which freed us but lessened our sense of belonging. I imagine people who still live where their great grand fathers lived may… Continue

Raising Awareness via Design!

Samuel T. Coleridge wrote in his balad the Rime of Ancient Mariner, “Water, water, every where, Not any drop to drink”..

As an architect, I address societal and environmental issues through my designs

I drew this sketch that was once presented by Greenheart campaign for environmental awareness to illustrate my point!

Inspired by Monsters Inc Animation Movie :)

In Monsters Inc, monsters generate their power from children's screams..

In 2020, I imagining that for festive celebrations that are always loud as in halloween, parties and New years eve that the halls would be equiped to be equiped with a device that can store and generate power from all the vibrations, sound waves and frequencies..

I drew a picture that I hope it expresses the "Evokation"…

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
