A crash course in changing the world.

Alternative currency is generally used in conjunction with conventional mony; one may use local currency at the local market and regular green backs at the supermarket. It doesn't try in any way to replace cash,"says Christoph Hensch a Swiss National and former banker living in Christchurch New Zealand.Rather it offers a way "for people to share and redeem value they have in the community."He says the currencies are most useful in geographical areas or social… Continue

Charging my mobile phone

I could use a microbial fuel cell (MFC) to convert chemical energy ,available in a bio-chemical substrate, directly into electricity. To achieve this, bacteria are used as a catalyst to convert substrates into electrons.Bacteria are very small organisms which can convert a huge variety of organic compounds into carbondioxide, water and energy. The micro-organisms use the produced energy to grow and to maintain their metabolism. However,by using a MFC i could harvest a… Continue

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More
