LEARN 3!!

I found on the city of Hamilton website that there is a partner ship between the city of Hamilton and Hamilton Renewable Power INC they are taking waste from the glanbrook landfill.

"Landfill gas generation is a natural process that occurs in any landfill as solid waste decomposes. The gas, composed primarily of methane (50%) and carbon dioxide (50%), is produced when organic material breaks down in an oxygen free (anaerobic) environment.

Imagine 2: What I will be eating my future....

It's 2020 and my family and I are sitting at our lovely kitchen table. It's a beautiful sunny day and my children and I have gathered lettuce, tomatoes, cuc**bers, peppers, and herbs from the garden to create our home cooked meal. My family is of Greek decent so we have made a lovely fresh salad and to go along with it my husband has prepared pork souvlaki on the BBQ.

Act 2: What I can do to help

For years my grandparents have worked hard in my back yard creating a huge ginormous delicious garden filled with a variety of tree's, vegetables, and fruit. My grandparents were very generous and gave away vase amounts of food to our neighbors all down the street. My parents have passed away recently so my father and I have upkeep the garden and carried on with my grandparents work. I know they would be proud.

LEARN 2!:)

Is this what it really has come too....

My hometown is Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. When people think of Canada they think a land of opportunity and wealthiness. It's sad to say but even in Hamilton which has a huge population and is a pretty big city there are families who are homeless with no food or shelter, kids out on the streets, fathers jobless. It's a sad reality to face. There are 399 women, men, and children in emergency shelters every night, 2,436 women and children stayed… Continue

IMAGINE 1: My life in 10 years....

Through my years leading up to 2020 I will be doing so many different things. I will be studying and learning more about Pre-Health Sciences and becoming a Registered Nurse. Becoming a RN in Canada means you can go anywhere in the world and work as a RN. I would like to go to third world countries and help children and families there survive and give them aid. In ten years I see myself married to my boyfriend Darryl to whom I've been dating already for almost 3 years. We'll both be successful… Continue

Act 1: The someone

ACT 1: THE SOMEONE!

The hero I chose well I should say heros actually is a band from different points in Canada of three guys who came together and wanted to change the world through there music. They call themselves "The Someone" ( someone to speak, someone to listen, someone to care, someone to change.) those words are right on there cd cover. With a group that goes all around Canada to highschools to make student's aware of issues at home, loosing someone to alcohol, and teen… Continue

LEARN 1!

The key isn't to completely change the culture, the key is to embrace it and enhance it.

I think a good thing to actually learn what it is really like is to place yourself in there shoes and live there for a week. Do what they do, live exactly how they would, and talk and listen to the right people. I think this is the best tip "Listen to the right people. Okay, so you probably don’t know what it’s like to carry fifty pounds of firewood on your head. Well, don’t pretend that you do.… Continue

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
