Drinking Sewage Water?

In California there is a project that allows sewage water to be cleaned into healthy drinking water. Instead of human waste going into the sewers, a ditch, or even the ocean it can be converted to something helpful for everyone.

Special Day in 2020

It would be Christmas in 2020. The outside lights could be powered by a small solar panel or other small renewable energy source. Who knows what types of new energy sources we could have by 2020. I would not have a tree in my house at all and the lights would be completely powered by green sources/

Everyday Power Shift

Everyday I use a gate opener to open the front gate to my house, I only do this because it is impossible to open by hand with the gate opener hooked in to it. With a small solar panel the gate opener could run without having to be attached to my house's power grid. It would be a very small change, but i believe it could still help.

Renewable Energy in Microorganisms

The wh*** Harvard Medical School Research Team is who I've decided to write about. They are experimenting with microorganisms that with electricity could produce fuel. They would use small amounts of electricity from resources such as solar panels and other renewable sources to create a fuel from the microoragnisms.

Food Security Near Me

Near me there are a few small shops that are owned by less fortunate people (common here in Thailand) and construction workers across the road. I realized I could help by giving them the basil that grows in my yard. We don't use it much and it could help someone I give it to prepare food.

Food Security in Pattaya, Thailand

Where I live in Thailand the poverty is very clear and very serious. The fact that not everyone is allowed to eat regularly or if they will even eat for one or two days. I believe the biggest challenge would be to get the food to everyone. Pattaya is a very large city and the homeless are spread about the wh*** city. It would be a challenge to ensure everyone is able to know about a place that they can go in order to get food. Some are also disabled and unable to get to a shelter… Continue

Me In 10 Years

In 10 years I am really hoping to be pursuing a career in medicine. I would have just gotten out of college about a year earlier so my career would be just beginning. With a food crisis I believe medicine would be a very useful field of work to be in at that time.

Paula Kahumbu and WildlifeDirect

For the ACT activity for social innovators I am choosing to follow Paula Kahumbu and her website WildlifeDirect.org. I find it a unique idea for having a place where like-minded people dedicated to saving endangered species have a place to network with each other and share ideas. With a place for social innovators to collaborate it could result in some trully unique ideas.

Listening To the Right People

To me number 2 by Amy Smith about listening to the right people is the most important, We hear about the hardships of the indigenous people all the time, but do we REALLY understand what it's like? Or do we know anyone who knows what it is like? The answer is most likely no. UNtill we experience their hardships firsthand or speak to someone who has there is no way to truelly know what it's like.

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
