An Overpopulated NYC

Since I live in the great city the great city that never sleeps more and more people are attracted to come here. Looking into the future as more and more people come here New York City could possibly face the similar problem China has: Overpopulation. Since to this day more people move here the only solution is instead of building out more we build up, in other words creating larger structures then the ones we have at the moment. If we possibly run into this issue I feel a way that Ushahidi can… Continue

Women of greater power in 2020

After analyzing the website freedomhouses.org my favorite Global Giving project was the one which is now taking place in the country of Jordan. In the region of the MIddle of East many women don't have many rights and freedom to speak out in their community and country. In the year if 2008 in Jordan they created a program called the Family Protection Law (FPL) and specialized in creating a specialized court in 2009 that involves dealing with honor crimes such as domestic violence and family… Continue

Providing people with clean water around the world

Many countries today around the world are facing the problem of water crisis. Although these countries are facing these problems they are creating many different projects to help improve their water supply. One country that is getting involved in interesting projects is Honduras. In this country many people are trying to help improve their water-supply and some of the interesting ideas they have came up with are protected springs, gravity-fed water systems, pumped water systems, storage…

A Day for Water Around the World

If I were to design Urgent Evoke's biggest celebration or event it would be called: "International Water Conservation Day". On this specific day around the world people from in their country all join together and create a street fair or parade. During this they sell things such as T-shirts, hats, and many other items that show off the message of why it is important to conserve our water. While everyone around the world is selling these interesting gimicks they also earn money to help their… Continue

Empowering Women in my local neighborhood

A way that I feel that I can help empower women is by gathering some of my friends and family in my local community or school and possibly have a fund raiser or dedicate a wh*** day to gathering items such as clothes, cleaning products, food, and water and shipping them off to places in need such as Africa, Haiti, Western China, or India. As well as this something else we could do is raise money by selling food or bakery goods. Everyone pitches in by selling many things and goods as well as…

Empowering Women Through sports

After investigating a new story about how the organization UNICEF is helping women in Afghanistan right now in a way of getting them involved in sports and physical education. Doing this can help women boost their self-confidence as well as their well being. I think that I can uncover more about this article like seeing how this has and impact of these women's country and what skills will they develop throughout their future years. I think that I will be able to reach out to many other…

Creating something new

Something new that I could design to power something which I use everyday is that instead of using gas and oil to power cars and airplanes things like alcohol could be used instead. By running small things such as motorcycles on alcohol it could save much money on gas and oil. This could help many people and possibly boost our economy since we don't have to be big bills. Another way to power vehicles could be cars and motorcycles could be algae or water. By running these vehicles on things like… Continue

Celebrating a special day in 2020

A special day that I would be celebrating in the year of 2020 would be the new year (Januray 1st). During this holiday alot of electiricity and power is used. Such things that would be powered would be the television in a home, radios, stoves and ovens for cooking, and computers. Other things could be outisde of a home such as in places like Times Square where the power that is being used is in the billboards, streetlights, and the huge televisions and the buildings not to mention the new…

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal. I walk to the fridge and open it to see what there is for me to eat. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
