I think the major factor to improve the economy system in the long run is education, espacially in the poor world. That together with globalisation, good trade regulations and more international cooperation will booster the economy in the third world. Education is the key factor.

Today we have the technology to transform sea water into drinking water with recursive Osmos. The cost is not greater than an ordinary well h***. I found a Swedish company in Stockholm working world wide with this product. It seams to be very good solution.
