Imagine3 - water day

I would have my event at a lake. All around the sides of this lake there would be stands for drinks and snacks. On the lake there would be heaps of those plastic bubbles that people can walk inside and lots of other water related activities ( using the water only from the lake ). entrance would be $5 per person and children under 5 free. All he money gained from this event would go towards getting fresh water pumps for those who need it.

My Solar Christmas

It's been a sunny day. Perfect. I now know that I have enough energy to power my Christmas dinner. This week I have been collecting energy for my Christmas dinner. The fairy lights are already hooked up to the generator and are making the house sparkle! I now await the arrival of my guest as all the preparations are finished. The wh*** house is being powered by all the energy I stored. I can't wait to see my friends faces when they see all the lights!

Bioenergy (LEARN3)

Bioenergy: Organic Waste Reactors

Organic waste like dead plant material, manure, or kitchen waste can be turned into a gaseous fuel. It’s produced by fermentation of these biodegradable materials. Biogas can be used as fuel for cooking, for example, or in a gas engine, converting energy into electricity or heat.

Sarah Ervinda Rudianto, a student from Indonesia, developed a small, individual bioreactor that converts organic waste into biogas with the help of fermentation. To…

My dinner in 2022 ( IMAGINE2 )

I am sitting down to dinner with a group of my church friends. It is only rice but after sifting through rubble all day it tastes like the best meal I've ever had! Our chef is Shiori, the organiser of the missionary base set up to help those in need after the Japan earthquake and tsunami. The meal my friends and I are eating was from the late harvest from the rice fields in the neighbouring town who we recentley helped.

food insecurity learn2

In New Zealand the people most affected by food insecurity are those who lost their jobs in the earthquake. With lots of businesses closed down in the CBD many people have struggled to find employment after the loss of their jobs. With taxes going up to support the rebuild of the city the unemployed are borrowing money to feed their family. But when the money stops who knows when their next supermarket visit will be!

What you have matters more than what you lack

What you have matters more than what you lack (If you’ve got a bicycle, consider what you can build based on that, rather than worrying about not having a car, a truck, a metal shop.)

I think this is a great tip because it teaches us to build on what we have and see what we can acheive with so litttle at our disposal. It teaches us to be creative with what we have.

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
