LEARN2 - Food Insecurity in Los Angeles

"In 2008, the US poverty rate was 13.2 percent. But a new report from USDA, "Household

Food Security in the United States, 2008"
, puts the number of

food insecure at 14.6 percent. And number for female-headed

single-parent households with children was a staggering 37.2%. (The

relationship between poverty and food insecurity is a complex one. Poor

seniors, for example, have a much… Continue

Can a game like this really change the world?

I made a new friend tonight. She sent me a message that I wish I could give her a SPARK vote for. She asked me the question "Can a game like this really change the world?" This got me thinking...here was my response to her:

All it takes to change the world is to change the thinking of one person. Each and every person on here has heard the call to participate

and in doing so, each person involved is changing. These… Continue

URGENT - Impending famine in Tokyo - A Call to Action! IMAGINE1

Today is March 4, 2020. I just received a call from my eldest son that he is doing well in college and that his professor has recommended him for an internship to work with one of the top physicists at CERN. He was overjoyed to get the news. I am so proud of him. I spoke with my younger son a couple of days ago, he too is doing well in college and looking forward to a career in video game design. I sometimes wish his horizons were a bit broader, but I know it has been a passion of his since he… Continue

NEXTSTEP - Effecting Change in the Educational System

My friend Emily responded to a comment I made on a post about how I am always trying to motivate people into believing in themselves. This is par for the course for me. it is something that I strive to do each and every day. Even if I do not believe in what someone else is doing..I take the time to encourage them in their beliefs. This is especially true when it… Continue

GAME1 - Catch the "I Can" bug

Imagine a world where children create and implement ideas that can have life changing results. I am not talking of teens nearing adulthood....I am talking about 6-7 year olds, maybe even younger.

Katie Redford - Earthrights International

I chose to shadow Katie Redford and her Earthrights International organization. Katie is a human rights lawyer and activist. She has addressed a large oversight that many large global companies have swept under the rug. they tend to walk all over the less fortunate, and her organization has held these organizations accountable for their actions.

Katie is an innovator and a creative force to be reckoned with. She did her research and brought to light an old law that would work against… Continue

Become a GLOBAL Community

Share knowledge and skills to continue the innovative

process both to and from people and communities.

So much of our world has become separate, distanced, and in some ways even disassociative. We as humans are social creatures. We need to get back to believing that we are one community. Within the community setting, many things are possible. We have the ability to bounce ideas off our friends and colleagues, much like the EVOKE network is doing. While necessity… Continue

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
