Microhydropower in Nepal

Nepal is a poor country, where access to electricity is not always given. At the same time, it is quite high above the sea-level, which is perfect for hydropower. Bir Bahadur Gale developed a micro-hydropower model, which is based on community ownership. It is not only a cheap and green way to produce energy, at the same time it helps the rural villages to develop and to particpate in the economic upturn.

Die Tafel

Food shortage is not really an issue here in Germany. However, there are people, who haven't been that lucky and are dependent on the helpf of others. These people have hardly enough money to live, or a stroke of fate forced them to live on the street.
