March 2020 - Healthy feeding Healthy People, Peaceful Communities.

Present Day: March 10, 2020 6:30PM

I am at the balcony of my house with Karen (my 2 year old daughter - she is adorable). I am a "family guy now", I have a wife, 2 year old beautiful daughter and my follower sister Joan. The apartment is on the country side - from my balcony is a clear view of Lake Victoria. The sunset looks beautiful. The reflection of the sun on the water. :) God I love nature. Reminds me how important it is to preserve this beauty for the… Continue

I Reinvent Cooperative Farming and the Granary in Uganda!

"Food security is not just about a one meal."

Cooperative farming is a system where farmers voluntarily come together, pool their resources in buying farm inputs, using resources (like land ,water, machinery) and market the produce and

divide the earnings.

Just like I said in: I report inadequate food access and availability in… Continue

Many regions in Uganda are practicing subsistence agriculture - mainly because the land is owned by private individuals in small plots; so, the people choose what to do on their plots of land.

Because families practice subsistence agriculture on small plots of land, their target is to produce enough to feed…

Not me (us) against (you) them!

4 hours ago Nick Heyming (one of the agents) wrote on his page, "I think it would be cool if in

the last week they rated you not on how many power points you HAD, but

how many you'd GIVEN OUT..."

I think that would be really nice. Its such a cool idea he has in there. And I TOTALLY agree with… Continue

ACT 1: the search for social innovators - meet :Ms. Ory Okolloh - Kenyan Pundit.

Well, it has not been a very simple decision to make but I think Ms. Ory Okolloh deserves to be my "hero".

Who is Ms. Ory Okolloh?

Ms. Ory Okolloh is the co-founder and Executive Director of Ushahidi.

Ushahidi is a free and open source project with developers hailing from Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Malawi, Netherlands and the USA working on it. The Ushahidi Engine is a…

LEARN 1: Provide skills NOT just finished technologies.

Most of the current problems in Africa are being solve by the few "experts". On top of being expensive, it takes them a bit of time to do the necessary research and studies before they come to a conclusion.

In my opinion, it would be a lot easy if the local people are given the skills to investigate solutions to the problems affecting them. This makes them feel more involved hence taking up the obligation to find solutions to their own problems and "make it happen"/ innovate.

Its the… Continue

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
