Hi my name is Bina. I live in Nepal. Ten years ago, through an organic farming program, my mother was able to learn new farming techniques and take business cla****. With the money she made from her crops, she was able to buy a new home and send her children to proper schools.

The group that I decided to help is helping
support women in Nepal with farming A lot of the organization on the site were about giving education, but it only helped a few women. This organization helps a lot of women, teaching them how to farm and business skills so that they can make money and food for their families.

My favorite Holiday is the 4th of July, and it is powered by the sun! It takes place at the start of the summer, perfect time to use a solar powered grill. Also, it is usually so nice outside, so why sit around in a car to get to the beach?! Take a bike or walk, maybe even car pool!

Right now, I'm back in New York visiting my mom. It is a nice day so we decided to have a small Barbecue. Most of the food that we are grilling (corn, eggplant, tomatoes) were grown in my mom's garden. She used seeds that she gathered from last years harvest, and to add nutrients to the soil, she gathers dead leaves during the fall and old bits of food and puts them in a compost bin, so by the time spring comes, it will be ready for her garden.
