community garden as social agent

10 years from today... our garden will be the pilot for community gardens in every neighborhood.

The garden will be a lesson for everybody. Showing how people can take charge of their life, their community and their enviroment.

It won't be easy. I know we'll face vandalism, despair and apathy.

We have the ultimate power - the community's first fruit or vegetable will show that we can.

we'll have visitors from all over the country, coming to see and learn about the…

Here comes our community garden

I Started to research around the local websites.
I heard about a women who planes to create a community garden.
I found her. sent a messege. we talked on the phone that same day.
I visited the site on friday. It's an old shooting range.
We, the school, will have our little acre.
I'm glad to say we'll start working in the garden this year and not wait for next year - in september.

Diffrent learning experience

I started the second mission with my pupils.

First, I showed them Jane McGonigal lecture at TED. We were reading a book in class that happends in the WOW world.

Second, we created our own EVOKE profile "scifi classroom".

Third, we learned about food security. They had very interesting ideas. The only rule is you can't dismiss an idea. you can only find the problems in it and find a way to overcome those problems.

The amazing thing was to see how they react to one another ideas.… Continue

The man who never dreamed

I never dreamed of my future. I never had a one, three, five year plan.
It is one of my biggest problems as a teacher. I know where I want to go in my first steps, but I don't know where I want to be.
My school counselor asked few days ago: "what do you want to do when you'll be older?"
I answered I don't know.
There are all kind of things I want to learn, but I'm not fixed on anything yet.
Time will tell.

My favorite secret - stay positive

The selution is out there. somewhere. We just have to think, look for it, and find it.
There are alot of "new-age" mottos, books, movies. All of them say the same known truth - open your mind and stay positive.

Faith is not just about religion. It's the strength inside everyone that makes us keep going forward.

As Oliver stone said in natural born killers: "only love can kill the demon."

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
