Act Mission 5

Every Tuesday and Thursday I carpool to school with a friend, and instead of paying gas money to each other we have decided to trade favors. So saw she drives one day, that day I'll buy her a cup of coffee, or if I drive she'll get me some coffee. Just trading goods rather than giving gas money, that way there’s a mutual understanding with each other while we are both helping each other achieve success in our education by carpooling and sharing favors.

Learn Mission 5

For this learning assignment I decided to just think of a clever way to get incentives for doing work and an alternative currency. Let's say have a reward system funded by the government for good deeds that citizens do and get rewarded with a points system that they can redeem at the end of the year. Say for doing 100 hours of community service, they get 100 points which translates to 100 dollar rebate. It's like a big game but with currency and it can help change the world with an imaginary,… Continue

Imagine Mission 4

For this party I want to go big, so everything at the event will be powered by constantly renewing water supply. So basically the water that we are drinking will also keep re-filtering in and powering turbines that is power the wh*** event. All the grills will be powered by hydro-electricity, and the steam will be collected and condensed back into drinking water. Nothing will be wasted at this event and we will have 1000s of people show up and try to have as many pop culture icons and political… Continue

Act Mission 4

I am going to follow Carlos Aguilar on twitter as he is an advocate for water conservation and water techniques with renewable sources. He promotes a lot of great ideas and I will be able to retweet him and let my friends know about the great stuff he is doing. Any of his ideas that he posts that I feasibly can get involved with I will so I can do more than just spreading the word.

A danish water bottle company (Kildevæld) has come up with a genius incentive to get people to purchase bottles of water from them. For every bottle you purchase they donate a “life straws” which help filter water so people in developing countries can have clean water. These little devices would give me an incentive to buy for sure because I know when I buy water, I'm helping someone else drink fresh water. Ideas like this hopefully will keep spreading to other companies and we can help save… Continue

Imagine Mission 3

In 2020 we will be celebrating yet another Giants World Series victory. The party will be held out side so we don't have to use the lights in the house. We will be using recycled utensils and plates and will be barbecuing on a grill that is powered by its own smoke and solar power. We will be under our umbrellas for shade so as not to use fans or any other electric powered cooling devices. After we are done raging we will recycle all materials including our food scraps to better insure safety… Continue

I believe two things can be easily solar and light powered. First off your cell phone could easily have sensors on it to help power it in the same vain as a calculator does. It could also be plugged in when needed by mainly run off solar power, it already has sensors on the iPhone to make the screen darker or brighter according to how bright it is in the area. A car could also be powered by sun-powered, battery powered, and gas powered. Use the first two sources first and only use gas when… Continue

Gyanesh Pandey is the social innovator I want to focus on, he was born in Bihar, India which is the poorest states in the country. He eventually left this area for America and got an education in engineering and landed a high-paying job in Los Angeles. After a while he was inspired by his material surroundings in America and wanted to give back to his birthplace. His great invention was to be able to run an entire power plant on rice husks. He has been able to win some student run competitions… Continue

Imagine Mission 2

In 9 years from now I'll be eating dinner with my family and we will be having one of our favorite pasta dishes, linguine in clam sauce. It will taste good because all the ingredients will have been able to be purchased because we took the steps now to solve a food shortage problem. It will taste great because we are great cooks and every thing we make tastes excellent. We got the ingredients from the store and also purchased some items to donate as well as part of our regular routine for… Continue

A local food shortage that has been going on for years is the food shortage for bay area homeless residents. Thousands of people goto sleep hungry regularly with no viable solution in place. Many people in the bay area have set up food kitchens and other food delivery services to help the homeless population. These grass roots organizations are what is going to solve these crisis in the future. People taking the initiative without having to be instructed or giving the means to go out and do it.

Act

I've chosen to follow Paula Kahumbu who is the executive director at wild life direct. I have chosen to shadow this hero because her work is something that I believe in and want to be a part of it in some way. I feel conserving our habitats and protecting wildlife is something we have to do as people on this planet. For too long have these animals and habitats been poached and taken advantage of and organizations like this will be able to put the resources and technologies in place to help… Continue

Secret: Provide skills, not just finished technologies.

I feel this is the most important secret because we can give countries all the technology in the world for dealing with food shortages and other medical problems, but if they don't know how to use it then their never going to be successful. More resources need to go into training people how to use these advanced technologies and teach them on older technologies that can be enhanced and better utilized for the country. A lot of… Continue

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
