We have a family celebration for the Spring and Fall equinox that we made up our selves. One major part of it is the use of candles, and of course a big dinner. Mostly we have fresh food, but there is cooking involved. I can imagine adding a fun twist to our celebration that we try living the wh*** day without modern technology. Figure out how to cook over a fire or in a sun oven. Turn off the computers and cell phones for the day. Walk everywhere we need to go. That would be interesting.

Earlier we went shopping at our local farmer's market. (which in 2010 doesn't exist) We bought a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables that were grown locally. We grow fresh herbs, just enough for ourselves. But tonight we decided to eat out. There's a nice little cafe here that makes only a few dishes a night, but everything is made from locally grown/produced venues. Their food is really good!

The hero I am following is TED. Because knowledge is power, and I support free speech. I have been inspired by many talks I've heard from their website, so I joined their facebook page.
