Banking with the Ewa branch at Laulani Village Shopping Center

What is it called? Where is it?

Who created it? How does it work?

What community does it serve? What problem does it solve?

On February 17th, a new branch of the Ewa Saving's Bank will be opening in the Laulani Village Shopping Center located just south of Carlsbad, California. The bank originally began as the American Saving's Bank in 1925. It's…

Inspiring the future of business

Earlier today, I took an interest in kiva, which operates solely to obtain and exchange money for loans that may benefits others world wide. The company is somewhat of a meeting place for those who are in need of loans and those who have the ability to lend. I personally had the opportunity to lend some of my personal finances to a small business owner in Boston, MA. This opportunity funded his base of advertisement for his company which works closely with Caribbean trade and financial…

Evolving Our Financial Systems

After a careful reading of the Do-it-Yourself article on money exchanges, I found the article to be very interesting. The article attempts to explain how businesses and exchange websites like craigslist could sometime in the near future be using a system of alternative money for exchange of merchandise. Some organizations have already began using this system and it has flourished especially in places like Kenya where money is valued lower than most currencies around the world. I personally…

The future awaits me...

In the next ten years, I can see many wondrous roads to follow. These roads have no ending but opportunities of unique and diverse complexity. I believe that I will find myself in a position of authority with the US Government helping to stabilize regions and provide for democracy in areas of the world that deserve it most. Every dream is achievable through strength and numbers, but only those who pursue it with ambition will make the cut. My aim is to provide those who work for me with the…

Could you do it?

Living on two dollars can seem like a daunting task. Could it actually be achievable though? I chose this secret because I feel that it opens our eyes to a different world. Most could only imagine in our world what its like to hold $100 or less, but truly there are those who hold even less; sometimes for periods longer than a year. The struggle is real and at the end of the day, we in the western world may not truly understand the crisis looming in our own hearts if we can't consider the…

Changing the World one penny at a time!

Earlier today, I discovered a CEO who is making waves of change in the world. Her name is Nicole Stubbs. The aim of her organization is to reduce any and all lending/capital repayment to countries that are in developing regions. I truly believe that her focus is a cause that we need to set ours ears and eyes to for the decades to come. Keep Nicole and her organization in your thoughts and prayers.

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
