Fabio Rosa

One social innovator I found was Fabio Rosa. He is doing a project on how to get affordable and sustainable energy to people who never had electricity before. His idea was to have one single wire be connected to everything instead of using multiple ones so that they don't have to pay as much. Though he had many brilliant ideas, no one was interested and he tried other things but had to keep retrying. His projects are being used for the poor people in Brazil.

Electric Innovation

With all the electricity we are using, there must be a way to waste less. Something we can do to help that is to have Electric Eels power some of the things we use everyday. For example, the television is used almost 24/7. Electric Eels can release up to 500 volts of electricity. If we used that to power televisions, we could probably keep it running the wh*** day, not that anyone would.

2020 Holidays

Halloween isn't my favorite holiday, but it uses the least electricity. In 2020, when there's less energy to be used, Halloween might stay the same. My family would go to the grocery store and buy three large pumpkins. Two of them, my sisters and I carve funny faces into them. When we're done, we put a long-lasting candle in it and place it on the front steps. The other is saved for pumpkin pies and other delicious foods with pumpkin in it. That's one reason I like Halloween, there are so many… Continue

Biggest Food Security Problem

In some places, there are terrible droughts. Though they try hard to plant a garden, it is very hard to keep it alive. Some problems that they might have is not fertile soil, unclean water, or a shortage of a meat source. That wouldn't be a problem for me because I am a vegetarian. If ever, there was nothing to get meat from, I would be able to adapt quickly. In some places, they don't have the resources for meat or to plant a garden. Some places barely have rain. And gardens are good ways to… Continue

Food Security

In the backyard of my house, I helped my mom plant a little garden with figs, tomatoes, peas, beans, and many more herbs and vegetables. To help someone in my community with food security, I would give them the supplies needed to plant their own garden and help them plant it. Organic fruits and vegetables are more healthy for you and having your own garden reproduces each year and only needs natural sunlight and water/rain. It takes low maintainence and provides you with food. When you grow… Continue

2020 dinner

In 2020:

I'm sitting at my dinner table with my wh*** family. We are eating just fruits and vegetables, anything we can make of those. All the animals used for meat are extinct. All our produce is grown in our little backyard garden. There are salads with as many herbs and vegetables you can imagine. We eat in silence wondering if we will be fortunate to have enough to eat the next few months. You see, I have a big family. It's three adults and three kids. It takes a…

What is a Social Innovater?

A social innovater is someone who comes up with ideas to help the world and everyone in it. They try to help people and make things more convienent. It's like what technology does for us today. It targets a problem that a lot of people have and then execute that problem by creating something new to prevent it.

A social innovator works to change the world. Even the smallest change that can help people, they will try to make. Social innovaters should be the heroes to everyone…

My Hero

The person I chose to shadow is Paula Kahumba. She is in Kenya right now and fights for wildlife conservation. She is the executive director of WildlifeDirect. I chose her as my hero because we share the same interests. I love animals and believe we should protect them. Animals are an important part of our lives, ecosystem, and circle of life. Some people don't think about animals as important. This is really sad because animal cruelty is still…

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal. I walk to the fridge and open it to see what there is for me to eat. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
