My life in 2020

In 8 years I will be livivng in Asia. After several project throughout the world my company sent me for a stay of 5 years to Asia. I can't imagine a country but am quite sure that it might be south eas Asia as I have already gained some knowledge in that area.

Within my work I will be responsible for a team of five people and we are trying to establish our business in that area. But apart from that I am trying to connect with the culture and people over there to gain as many insight as…

The future of EVOKE

Looking at the future I think we will see a change in the world. The strong countries as we know them right now won't be the strong countires in maybe 20 years. The world is changing.

The social problems that might appear are in my opinion basically energy and water problems. More nations will increase their living standard. That means that more and more need more energy and water for that life.

I think Africa will play a big role in the future as they have to make the biggest…

Covering risk

The most interesting and important fact of these five is the one called "covering the risk"

I was really surprised by the low correlation between how much harm that hazard does and how upset people get about it. That means that sometimes there is a huge panic about something that isn't worth it. And the awarness of big hazards is sometimes too low. That means that the coorelation between those two facts should be pushed to get higher. I think it is important to create a high rate of how…

I'm an old man

I will turn 100 in 75 years. I imagine a world where everything is moving so fast that it is hard to follow that speed when you're 100 years old. I expect people to be more and more virtually linked so basically they communicate with each other but see themselfes not very often in "real" meetings. Everyone can travel around the world very easily and the people are more and more isolated from each orther.

As a wise old man I would try to show the people how we met for dinner for some…

The rain forest case in Brazil

I picked the case about involving the civil society to conserve the rainforest in Brazil: http://srdis.ciesin.org/cases/Brazil-Paper.html

One key laerning from that case was on the one hand the influence of the NGOs and the impact the society has when it comes to important topic. The number of following sub-projects concerning that case is quite impressive. If you make a topic to a society topic and gain awarness it is good…

A fininacial breakdown

A possible crisis that might come up at Brunswick or better in Germany and Europe is a massive financial crisis where every bank gets bankrup. That would mean that no one is able to trade or pick up money. That results in the fact that money gets worthless and a material trading would start again. So basically we are back in the stone age. So lets asume now that our mobile phones still have service because the phone companies have an agreement with the government to guarantee phone reception…

Human Rights in Europe!

In my opinion the most interesting news story that has been published was the one about the implementation of kaws againat discrimination based on gender: http://www.un.org/apps/news/story.asp?NewsID=42120&Cr=&Cr1=

I found it quite shocking that there are still countries in Europe where there are no equal rights for men and women. I thought this is a topic that is on the Agenda in Asia or Africa…

SMS Money Transfer

I found an intersting way of transfering money. It works with SMS. The sender and receiver just need to register theit phone numbers and agree on a PIN and then they can easily transfer money via SMS.

I think it'a an easy way to send someone money in a fast way. We use our mobile phone every day. So you'll have access to the money everywehere at any time. It is also possible to pay bills or to send money home. And I think if this technology develops it should be easy to pay for your…

Clean Water in a bag?

While searching in the internet for intersting clean water projects i found a very ineteresting approach which is basically just a bag.

With this bag you are able to clean the non drinking water an change it into drinking water. Even heavy metals can be filtered.

I think it's an very interesting approach because it is easy. You just need this bag and you can filter your water make it clean within 8 to 12 hours. I think it's a good approach for the wh*** world as a major problem are…

what about the wasted food?

In my opinion a big issue in our society in Germany is that we throw away tons of food which isn't ruined at all but has reached the expiry date.

If you have a look at the supermarket chains. There are big containers with lots of food in it. Food that is considered to be expired but in fact isn't. The food industry has to make up dates for the food expiry. These dates are set with a high security for the food companies. Meaning that they want to make sure that no food expires before…

Look at what you have

My favorite post is the one that's called: " What you have matters more than what you lack ".

If you look at this in a way that it was meant to be you understand that you should be thankful for what you got and don't try to find excuses in the things you don't have.

It is very typical for humankinds to look for excuses or the solutions or even problems they can't solve by looking at what you don't have. Like if you have a time machine I would know how to fight poverty. But the fact…

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
