IMAGINE 2

I imagine myself in some peaceful place in the world, sharing my meal with friends. I imagine a place with big trees and hearing the sound of the sea. The meal would be delicious, with perhaps some kind of meat, plenty of vegetables, aromatic plants, different breads, a good wine and lots of fruits.

I would like to imagine that on march 2020 more people in the world, will be working for food security for everybody, or at least for much more people than today. I imagine a better world with… Continue

LEARN 2 What's the biggest food security challenge near you?

This is a real challenge to me.

To begin with, I live in a country in which agriculture is one of the basis of economy. Agriculture goods, wether raw or processed, still earn over half of Argentina´s foreign exchange remaining an indispensable pillar of the country social progress and economic prosperity. In the other side, the urban poverty rate is 20%.

.

The World Bank have 7 active programmes on agriculture in this moment.

So, just to understand what is going on, I will… Continue

Game 1: evoke power: SPARK

I like to tell you about spark: a man: Alfredo Olivera, his team: patients of a psychiatric public hospital and his project: a radio station.

While Alfredo was studying psychology at Buenos Aires Health University (Argentina, Southamerica) he realized that mental illness was much more a social problem than a medical one. He thought that a radio station could be the key to remove physical limits as hospitals wars, and social prejudice about crazy people.

He started with a… Continue

Mission 1 Choose a hero to shadow.

I live in a poor country and I have heroes all arround me! in the shadows, that think and work for a better social world. It seems I have to choose, so I choose Ashoka's Fellow Beatriz Pellizari for thinking different, being creative and being a visionary woman.

You can see Beatriz profile here:…

Mission 1 My favorite secret: think like a child – children have no limit to their thinking

Think like a child helps me to be a social innovator, because it requires new ways of thinking, different perspectives to create what doesn’t exist yet, to achieve a vision.

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
