Solvatten: A Solar Water Purifier

In many countries people burn wood or coal in order to boil and purify water. Petra Wadstrom, a Swedish inventor, has come up with sustainable solution. He has created a small module called the Solvatten, which purifies water solely using UV rays from the sun. The UV rays kill any micro-organisms. The water also goes through a filter within the module, guaranteeing perfectly clean drinking water. The Solvatten can hold up to 10-litres of water and can be used three times a day. It is being… Continue

Oak Grove Garden

To increase the food security of the Ojai community, my wh*** 10th Grade class volunteered at our school garden. We re-soiled and mulched a plant bed, helped filled fig beds with earth and cleared weeds from under fruit trees. At the end, we rewarded ourselves with lemons and honey. Because of the small amount of roads into Ojai, it is meaningful to help community gardens and grow your own food in case of those roads closed. Overall it helps people locally, saving you money and giving local… Continue

Solar Power Charger

My new way to save energy is to use solar power to charge my Iphone and Ipod. I will do this by using a new solar unit that my Mom recently bought. It consists of a small solar panel, which is connected to a small orb-like device. Charging connectors for any kind of Ipod or Cellphone come out of the orb device. I am also trying to figure out a way for it to charge my computer. Here are some photos of the solar module.

2020 Solar Festival

In 2020, the wh*** of Berlin and I are celebrating a new event called the Solar Festival. It is a three-day event, showcasing the newest solar and energy technologies. The greatest part is that all the energy used for the festival is from solar energy. In addition to new inventions, a huge parade of solar powered floats roll by, while on the side of the crowded streets, one can buy smoothies made with solar blenders, meat cooked on solar ovens and small sustainable creations like energy-making… Continue

Food Security In Ojai

In 2005, my hometown, Ojai, was hit by a heavy storm which closed the three roads that led in and out of Ojai. The rains lasted for almost a month and the roads were closed for months after. The local grocery stores sold out quickly and soon people were fighting over the little food left in stores. Many people's houses were also flooded and many had to move. Luckily Ojai had and still has a growing population of local farms and others who grow their own food. Many people continue to push for… Continue

Cuisine in 2020

In 2020, I am eating a dinner made by I and two lifelong friends at my house in Berlin. Instead of food getting much worse, it has become much better. An organic gluten-free revolution arose throughout Europe five years ago and has made rapid progress. Meat and vegetable quality is amazing and completely natural: grains have lost their popularity, for many realize the benefit and healthy feel of being gluten and grain-free. The only country that is holding back is Italy who can't part from… Continue

Jasper in 2020

In 2020, I will be in England working on a musical career, with a degree in Studio Engineering. As a side job I will work at a local record store, if records do still exist. At the moment, a another Middle Eastern revolution is occurring, similar to the events in Tunisia, Egypt, Syria and Libya.

Problems are not always obvious from afar:

Problems are not always obvious from afar (You really have to live for a while in a society where no one has currency larger than a $1 bill to understand the importance of money via mobile phones.)

You will make the best impact and create a better solution if you personally experience the problems you are trying to solve and the environment that they are in. This will give you a better understanding of how it is to… Continue

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
