evokation - a little collaborative composition

So, my evokation is quite small...It is not so grand as many, but might be as inspiring or life-changing.

I hope that it might offer many of us a chance to create a little individual something that could be part of a larger composition. So, here goes.

Lugdwig von Beethovan composed one of the most lovely, well-known and enduring compositions from 5 notes. Ode To Joy, from his 9th Symphony, can be played on an instrument as simple and… Continue

social innovation: Distilling 33 secrets to a handful we can use

I think the real secret in our innovation doc**ent is that there aren't really 33 distinct secrets from 3-4 different experts, but a few core messages distilled from like-minded, inspiring leaders. We learn that:

We need to listen to the people with whom we're innovating, and observe and respect the cultures of those people before we can inspire true innovation -- as a start, but more importantly, to sustain... (Teach a man to fish....)

PARTICIPATE in the Positive: Contribute to a Globally Shared Moment

We've heard so much lately about the tragic oil spill in the Gulf Coast, and whilst I'm still dismayed, I also would like to think there is something positive in all of us that we can share. Maybe it could be as simple as sharing a moment in time across the world, and then seeing all our individual moments merged into one global mosaic. There is a project in which we can do something like this -- and it's happening very very shortly (~45 minutes as I write…

ACT on preventing future spills like the recent awful BP disaster!

Based on a "Crisis Networking" post by sunnydupree on the recent BP Oil Spill, I was searching for "Jackie Savitz" -- a senior scientist noted in the article that sunny shared with us. I was hoping I could get info so we might help…

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
