David and Haydi Sowerwine have designed a pedal generator wich provides power to rural regions in Nepal.

This power can be used for lighting, education, water sterilization and communication. Each pedal can produce enough electricity to provide minimum light for 200 homes, or light a schoolroom and run a television and DVD for students.

I imagine that in 2020...

Hopefully everyone have realized that our planet earth is our home, and that we need to take care of it; that we all (human, plants an animals) depend on each other and we have to respect each other.

Hopefully we'll be living a more spiritual life and we'll be helping each other in every way we can. We'll live in sustainable houses and working and creating social responsibles industries and enterprises.

Every kid will have education, everyone will be treated with respect.… Continue

My favorite secret for social innovation: STAY POSITIVE

Sometimes when we are trying to help we get a lot of opinions from other people, good and bad, and it's Ok. Everybody has the right to express themselves, but if we get discouraged by the bad opinions our self-steem begins to go down.

We should understand that opinions no matter what kind will always be there, but i'ts up to us how we handle them. We should see the bright side on everything, if people tells us that what we are doing is bad, we should ask them and…

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
