Common Vision - Vegetable-Oil Caravan and Fruit Trees Too!

Common Vision is such an extraordinary group, and right now they are on their 7th Fruit Tree Tour. This is a really fun, educational, and future-creating mission where they plant fruit trees with kids at their schools in California. They have already planted more than 3 500 Food Trees!

Along with using theater, drumming, and involving the kids themselves in planting the fruit trees, Common Vision drives the biggest Vegetable-Oil Powered fleet of buses in the World, and this is why I am… Continue

A Hero, A Guide

I am choosing Marko Pogacnik as my Hero to follow, and perhaps to connect with.

I first became aware of Marko early in my 'journey', when I first left University and the desire to be a Church Minister to learn more about Organic Farming and Sustainable Living. I was staying at a homestead on the Dorrigo Plaeteau in Australia, where I was helping to install some backyard irrigation, supplying my helping hands in the kitchen,… Continue

A Wonderful Meal in 2020

The meal starts with an appertif. This is a fermented drink made with local wildflower Honey and the herb Calamus. Calamus makes this appertif a wonderful digestive tonic. The plant is a reed grass that is native to countries around the world, Old World and New World.

The next course is a large salad. Since it is March, the greens in the salad include… Continue

Garden Seedlings

I have started a dozen trays of seedlings for my friend's garden.

They include vegetables, fruits, herbs, corn, peas, and companion flowers. Still to be planted are grains and tubers.

I purchased and am using a Potmaker that makes seedling pots from recycled newspaper.

I made a planting soil mixture from soil in the backyard, compost from the backyard, crushed eggshells, and peat moss.

Lawns and Food Security

I will first share several quotes from Leonid Sharaskin, Doctor of Agroforestry, from an article I wrote a few years ago about Food Security in Russia and Spiritual Ecology:

“Currently, with 35 million families (70% of Russia's population) working 8 million [hectares] of land and producing more than 40% of

Russia’s agricultural output, this is…

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
