LEARN 10

Evoke has been an interesting experience indeed. I'm sure Season 2 will be even more fun after the feedback the other evoke agents have suggested. I know that for one thing, actual gaming type of gameplay would be nice. Kind of like how you would go on facebook and play the facebook games like farmville. Things that help make it more interesting. By incorporating the ideas of evoke into the game objectives.

A perfect example is a game online called Ayiti- The Cost of Life ,…

Local Problems That Could Be Faced In The Future - LEARN7

Hmmm, I;m not sure really what kind of problems my community or society could face but I think unemployment might be a big issue that is occurring everyday. i work at the Library and the State Government is planning on doing a huge budget cut on the Libraries. Keeping them closed on the weekends, and reducing employment since shorter days and hours will probably kick into effect.

Not only is it our Libraries but many things in our community. I know another huge budget cut…

My City's Adaptive Capacity - ACT7

I read this PDF file about adaptive capacity of electric power in New York City. It deals with restoring power and new ways to produce and transfer power throughout the city right after the September 11th attacks. Its an interesting doc**ent and I encourage readers to read it.…

Act 6 - Help Empower 300 Women In Kosovo Through Education

My group and I today in class have decided to help spread the word about this cause: "Empowering 300 Women in Kosovo Through Education"

"By helping to educate women in Kosovo about business, religious and racial tolerance, and how to work together as one, women can become

beacons of resolve in their country"

This is a great cause to help bring women into the fields of great career opportunities to bring money to their homes and help rebuild the country's economy as well.… Continue

Water Crisis - Honduras Getting The Help They Need

Water.org’s very first project was in Honduras, in 1990. Today, they have helped more than 40 Honduran communities build their own safe drinking water systems. They are proud to say that more than 11,000 people in rural Honduras now have…

World Water Day 2020

Okies everyone! My idea would be having walk marathons in many cities and countries all over the world. The walk would be for reminding the world about the importance of water security and how we have to conserve and use clean water.…

Abandoning Female Genital Cutting/Mutilation

I read this article that the evoke site has provided in the womanswatch feed link they provided with a bunch of other links. This story really stood out for me.

A woman is standing up for what she thinks is right despite ridicule and harsh opinions she is getting from her community. She used to practice female mutilation in thinking it was for the practice for her Islamic religion. Its like a female circ**cision.

Currency Exchange

I haven't made a currency exchange in a while but whenever I go to Paraguay or Colombia (My parent's home countries) I always have to convert my american money into the nation's currency. What i like though about exchanging there is that the american dollar is worth more there so I usually get more for my buck. :D

The process is interesting. You can go to any currency place that is around. You go up and give in the money you want to exchange and then after paying a service…

Digital Currency

I think it would be a smart way to create digital currency for everyone to use. It doesn't have to be mandatory to use but it can definitely help with the economic situations of today. With digital currency we can use it for online purposes or even offline. As well as making it digital if one wanted to use paper money then they can obviously convert it.

Halloween in 2020

It's Halloween night on the year 2020 and I am 28 years old. My life is at a good point and I am working hard and enjoying life as good as I can.

Halloween is my favorite holiday of the year because I am into all the dark stuff and horror themes. It's what makes me happy just like a little girl loves her rainbow ponies and magical castle land. LOL

On halloween I usually go out to a movie or attend a haunted house walkthrough ride with friends.…

Discovering a Power Player working on a cool project.

I saw an Evoke member named Ralph Singh on this site and he wrote a comment saying:

"We're nearing the final stages of erecting a 10 KW wind turbine behind our house. It will be one of the first in this area of Upstate New York. Snow just melted here and God willing by June it will be operational."

This is really cool because this will help collect and sustain energy. I know windmills and related inventions are used for the purpose of either gaining energy or for having… Continue

March 2020: Eating Dinner

Its a beautiful night in Manhattan, NYC and I am in my dining room eating dinner with perhaps my wife. I could see myself married around that year so I guess I could say that I am married. We are sitting at a average sized round glass table with a ivory green colored table cloth on top of the table. On top of our place mats is the dinner that my wife has cooked. She decided to do pasta for dinner since thats our favorite Italian food. She cooked a very delicious baked ziti which is the somewhat… Continue

An idea that can help getting rid of the food hunger crisis

This picture is a still shot from the film "Pay It Forward" starring Kevin Spacey and Helen Hunt. The child plays the son of Helen Hunt's character and his method of how he will help people in general is by "paying it forward." He helps 3 people and then each of those 3 people will have to help 3 other people and so on and so on. Its a really cool idea.

I pretty much think that I can use this method…

Global and Local Food Hunger

Food Security is a major problem around the world. It is important to examine the famine that occurs all around the world. It's very sad to see that this still happens with the

capability we as people have and the technology that is available to us

that we can use to help people. We need to start acting quickly to make

sure things work out well for those poor hungry people. The food hunger

crisis is a big concern…

2020: When Alchemy Calls Me

In 2020, I see myself living in an apartment in Manhattan near West 4th Street near the IFC Film Theater. The apartment is somewhat of a regular size. Two bedrooms, a living room, kitchen and bathroom. The second bedroom has been turned to a film studio used for work. I'm working on many film projects in my home, focusing on post production work. Myself on editing and my girlfriend is helping me out with sound editing. We work together on films and she handles much of the sound and musical…

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
