Water for people

Water For People helps people in developing countries improve quality of life by supporting the development of locally sustainable drinking water resources, sanitation facilities, and hygiene education programs.

Around the world, 884 million people do not have access to safe drinking water and 2.6 billion are without adequate sanitation facilities. Every day, nearly 6,000 people who share our planet die from water-related illnesses, and the vast majority are children.

But the real…

Waterdance

Like many tribes did in ages past, we will do again. As they called for rain, so shall we. As they gathered in needed, we will gather in remembrance.

Evoke agents from around the world will gather in various public places to perform rain dances from their cultural histories. Onlookers will have the opportunity to consider the importance of water in our lives; hopefully, they will be able to imagine a time when public works that brought water to us at the turn of a dial were…

Story about 2020

It's the year 2020 and we are celebrating the new invention of energy generation. It is called "the living electricity".

Just like human beings breath in air and live. The electric equipments of 2020, breath in air and produce energy, just enough to power them up. Think of any electricity equipment (the phone, laptop, ipods, bulbs, iron boxes). Each of these is equipped with an inhaler device that takes in oxygen and produces electricity.

No need of cables and those electric wires…

Static electricity

It's everywhere and it's free. I think it could be applied in very small terms, perhaps a strip of material in the crotch of your pants or an armpit, nothing overly noticeable (even within the fabric itself!) but something to amplify and store a natural occurring process. Or how about up here in Canada come winter time, when you rub your gloves together to warm your hands you actually store the charge? perhaps even the energy from the force of your hands pressing against one…

LifeStraw

Recently, I read an article on the LifeStraw. Basically, this invention is a cheap way to provide a person living in an underdeveloped area to have clean drinking water for one year. The straw is sized for a person to carry on them and use as needed.

This is not, however, sustainable in the long run, but for the immedate problem, it's an excellent patch.…

Algae - the secret ingredient

"The VERSATILE System - a mashup of new and adapted technology that treats waste, produces methane and bio-oil as fuel, produces food for humans and livestock, sequesters greenhouse gases, and produces oxygen."

2020

In the year 2020 my family and i will hopefully be healthy, i have a wife and a secure job that do satisfy me. It would be great if i'll also have the spare change to buy some luxury things but that is just a side issue.
In my opinion the world problems stay the same. Maybe some of them would be solved. Maybe other arised.
When Alchemy calls me i help the best i can by donating or lending a hand.

My first "real" hero

The person i choose is Dr. Tankred Stöbe CEO of the organization "Ärzte ohne Grenzen" who give medical aid to countries where the health care structure crashed down.
I follow them on facebook.

Everybody who wants to know more about them here is the link to the website:

Greenhouses

In my mind the idea of building a garden by planting trees and other vegetables is good, but building a greenhouse i think is such a little bit better, because in winter there would be the problem that it would be too cold for the things we planted. So why not just build in every garden a greenhouse to plant own vegetables the wh*** year. And the agricultural surplus could be given to organizations which give them to the poor people.

March 10, 2020: Dinner-time

I'm in a restaurant with my best friend. The steak i'm going to eat is huge. Maybe a little bit genetically enlarged. We collected our meals from database. Ordered on a tablet computer. We don't sit at a normal table. We sit at a long bare. Every meal is fresh cooked. The ingredients were directly brought from the garden next to the restaurant. Waiters aren't needed anymore. The dishes with the meals come and go on a conveyor belt. The meal is exactly aligned to what is our favourite…

Poor children in Germany

According to "Welt Online" 500 000 children in Germany are affected by poverty and hunger. On the one hand the parents don't have enough money to buy food. On the other hand, in my opinion the worse thing, if they have the money to buy food they do not know how to feed their children. The consequence of buying the wrong food like limonade is that at the end of the month there isn't enough money for a meal.

Because of the wrong food the children are not that capable in school and most of…

Make it inexpensive.

There are a lot of these 33 secrets i agree whith like "Innovation (often) comes from constraint" or "Listen to the right people." But in my opinion the most important one is "Make it inexpensive."!

The most glorious innovation is just useless if it the production of it is such expensive that it can't be paid by the people who have a need for it.
In these days everything is about money. Nothing which can really make a difference is for free. This is the sadly truth!

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
