Are you f--king kidding me

Weeks ago I was asked to pay for some stupid cites in order to finish a mission, and now this? Evoke, what else can you guys do to suprise my @SS out? Are you going to ask every agents to go out and meet in real life and video tape it down in order to finish your next mission and call it a part of the game?

I think of nothing else. As a game this is going way too far. I know many of us is doing this as a class assignment anyway, but in fact this is still a game, right?…

my thoughts on this thing

Well, I've tried looking into those sources, what I found was either a pain in the @ss to read, or just too fancy for me to interprete. So if they still calls this a game, then why bother killing myself in such a painful way? So let me just say what I am thinking about this matter at the moment.

In my hometown in China, there were lots of matters like that one too. When I say "lots", I mean really

f-beep-king LOTS. For example, today we have a group of villiager who…

Myself in 2020...?

At 2020, I would end up on the street, homeless. When Alchemy called on me, I would be the first one to get help. After I feed myself, I will help others to get fed. This will be how I became an evoke agent in the first place. I was dying on the street with no one to pity me. But then evoke made me realize how important it is for an able person to help others in need. This sounds pretty good.

One possible outcome of my area: Flushing, New York

Today I happened to find a map of NYC when I was doing my research. I've seen the map before, but never taken a close look at it. In the area where my school is, there's a huge body of water nearby. I think it's the Hudson River but I'm not sure. Anyway, the river is very near the area. On the map I get the feeling that the water is invading the land. I get the feeling that one day Flushing will be flushed by the Hudson River, and my school will go down to the ocean, like a piece of toilet… Continue

NYC resilience plan

As we all know, as much as people like NYC, it isn't such a smart choice trying to survive in NYC for all of your life. Like I mentioned, it is in danger of being flooded. Not only that, hurricanes like to come this way. The crime rate is insanely high. As it is not enough, for some reason, all sort of monsters, aliens and other horrible stuff tend to visit NYC more than any other places.

To counter all those threats, our government is doing very little, if anything at all. So I…

Women in Haiti

I found another article about Haiti. http://www.reliefweb.int/rw/rwb.nsf/db900sid/MUMA-7ZV29H?OpenDoc**ent&RSS20&RSS20=FS

Personally I do not see anything specifically related to women themselves.

"As the world paused today to remember the victims of the earthquake in Haiti, we are reminded of the sacrifices made by people from around the

world in the wake… Continue

Women's lives in 2020

By the year 2020, women's lives should improve generally, so do I expect.

There are countless fundraising organization trying to help those women who are in need, and the people themselves are able to spread the news, convincing the others to help. If one people donated and told the story to ten other people, at least one out of those ten people will actually listen and donate. If this keeps going on, there will be a good amount of money used to help the…

Haitian women

http://content.undp.org/go/newsroom/2010/april/investing-in-haitian-women-.en

Posted above is a photo essay about a one-day life of a Haitian woman, Marie Josee Roland. There are not a lot of pictures, but I can see quite a few points there. Haiti is still shattered, there are ruins everywhere. In a place like this, the life will be ten times harder, especially when the life of Haitians is… Continue

helping helpless women

I spent my last $10 yesterday as you can see. As much as I want to help those women with my own hand, it is beyond my reach at the moment. Because I simply do not have a buck to spare. But did I just give up? No. What I did was, I published a blog post at youthvoices.net, which is a place where students at my age gather, similar to facebook and twitter. In my post, I explained what is going on, how I am unable to donate, and I posted the link to the donation page and asked for others's help.… Continue

alternative currency

Minutes ago I just used what was left in my $50 gift card to buy diamonds. Diamonds is a currency that enables you to purchase items in a game called Empire Craft(http://ec.hithere.com). The exchange rate between American $ and diamonds is 1:10, which means one dollar for ten diamonds. I had experience with the diamond system before, but I have never used it myself.

I don't really feel that the money is wasted, because one reason why I made…

A new way to power.

The best way I can think of is this:

Place a electricity-proof energy tank of the roof top, and plug a long copper bar onto it. When lightning strikes, the energy can somehow be "gathered" into the energy tank. Then we can connect out power devices to the energy tank just like we normally do. We can build a high tower specially for gathering lightings, because the higher it is, the more chance a lighting will struck. Then we can distribute the energy gathered to the…

Fun experiment on money that would change the world

http://www.portfolio.com/views/columns/dual-perspectives/2009/04/13/DIY-Currencies/

I find this article very interesting. It talked about currencies other than money.

"The idea is not as far-fetched as it may seem. Economists already have a term for this kind of community-specific money; they're called "complimentary currencies" and they naturally take root when conditions…

2020 secret events

My idea is fairly simple: make a computer game that involves a miniature of the earth.

The setting should resemble the earth before the starting of the industrial revolution. The players will be asked to participate in the possible outcomes of the world, which means they get to see how much water will be spent to do certain activities or jobs. The game interface will be a world map, on the side there will be a bar that represents the population and another bar representing the…

Getting involved in Ashoka - water innovation

Ashoke-watter innovation, as its name suggests, is a website working on solving the water crisis around the world. I find the website easy to understand so I decided to participate in its events. I subscribed myself to their newsletters, and I also applied to one of the volunteer oppotunity offered there: http://ashoka.org/volunteer/6684.

Basically what I have to do is organizing files and datas, making them into Excel doc**ents. I play…

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal. I walk to the fridge and open it to see what there is for me to eat. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
