Cute, but not sweet

The biggest problem in my country (Slovenia) and I think also across European union is the quality of vegetables. Sure it looks very healthy, rich, the colours are just fascinating, every single piece of vegetable is intact (insects, pathogens). But when you start eating, the wh*** magic desapeares. The taste of potato is like the taste of paper, cucambers taste like fresh cut green grass and of course the distinctive metal taste of tomatoes.

For someone, these analogies can…

Africa: Infectious diseases and prevention (1)

Did you know that diarrheal disease accounts for an estimated 4.1% of the total global burden of desease and is responsible for deaths of 1.8 million people every year, all over the world?

In 88% of all these cases, the development of diarrhea is due to usage of insufficiently purified water, often contaminated with feces, urin or other agents.

Second…

Forbidden and Forgotten

The two biggest wishes of every artist through our history were to be accepted and remembered.

It somehow leaves the feeling that we, ordinary, "everyday" people do not have that exclusive right to be accepted and remembered. Every day, on every television station we can see important people, like politicians, singers, bussinesman, and then large number of rich people guiding the tours trough their homes etc.. But, what about ordinary people, what about a vast number of man,…

Energy from within

Geothermal power is power extracted from heat stored in the earth. This geothermal energy originates from:

  • the original formation of the planet
  • from radioactive decay of minerals
  • and from solar energy absorbed at the surface.

Geothermal power is:

  • cost effective
  • reliable
  • sustainable
  • and environmentally…

LEARN1: Secrets

As the old expresion says "You cannot see the forest for the trees ", so we also cannot see all existing problems in our society.

But if you live further out, far from the certain forest of probles you can get a wh*** picture and see the shape and the size of the forest. So in order to solve certain problem, firstly, you will have to go away from it!!, And then to choose wisely the right tool to cut trough the dense bushes…

IMAGINE1: Imagining the future.. of yourself !

The future ain't what it use to be !

Such a funny state, but deeply true. One could say that future cannot be predicted, cannot be calculated, due to the infinite number of variables that you have to consider. So for the same reason it cant be altered eather. We are either faited to live in constant fear of the uncertan future or to live with the knowledge that we (humanity) might be already destined to die in some way in the future. But these are only the two aspects of the…

Sugar crust

We all have problably seen the movie 2012. Interesting plot, grate effects, breathtaking scenes, just great. But, it is far from current, near or some distant future reality. Or is it?

We are living in a "world" that is very young. Our written history goes only few tousands years in the past. Every time when we encounter some strange event, like powerful tornadoes or hurricanes, devastating thunderstorms in Europe…

Wake up call...

I think that the problem lies in the mindset of the people of Africa. If you look other great civilizations of the world, they reached certain point in time and collapsed. That is maybe why african people just cant cope with certain problems because they have reached some point and stoped there. The development of the world, as we know it (known, writen history), begun (every time) from certain "centers" of the world, certain nations or civilizations. We can…

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
