summary of EVOKE

1. What positive experience did you have with Evoke?

During playing Evoke I had the chance to collect some positive experiences. It was great to see how many people are social comitted. They help people enthusiastically and with readiness for action. Most of them do this without getting money.

Evoke reached to occupy oneself playfully with very important things which you normally don't pay so much attention to. Therefor it was very interesting to tackle these… Continue

Managing Panic in Pandemic

After reading the 5 secrets of crisis communication, I want to share my favorite insight: “Managing Panic in Pandemic“

Dori Reissman says, that the word "panic" is used too often, even in a wrong context and have mostly nothing to do with panic. His definition of panic is the loss of the social and inside order.

Journalists should ask theirselves if they really want to transfer this message. The cinfidence of the public is very important for the journalists because they are… Continue

ENHANCING PASTORALIST SELF RELIANCE THROUGH SUSTAINABLE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN KENYA

The combination of traditional knowledge and modern technical knowledge is a useful approach for further development. This approach can be used in other areas in order to increase productivity. The networking of this knowledge may lead to a faster and better development.

I consider this development program would be useful because the combination of knowing the domestic and mordernen know is a good beginning, to help people in Kenya.

Virus

Against natural disasters, in Germany we are quite safe.
The only crisis I can think of is a medical crisis, although it is difficult to imagine because Germany is medically equipped.

In case of a newly virus or a similar fast-spreading disease I would like to know it immediately.
In that case, "Ushahidi" help to spread information about any symptoms, risk of infection, antidote etc.

Another crisis, I can not imagine in Germany.

Learning Centers for Rural Afghan Women in Herat

Today in Afghanistan mainly all of the leadership and education is in the hand of men. At least the rural areas the thinking is, women don't need education, because the just stay at home, taking care of the house und raising the children. The knowledge is given from a mother to their female children.

Changing the system by giving an educational background to more women they are able to take greater part in the daily routine. They are able to read and write, count money and do some… Continue

Twitpay

The latest innovation within the field microblogging is twitpay. This service allows twitter usern to transfer little amounts to other usern via twitter.

For example: When I want to buy Robert a drink I write “@RobgreenTwitpay $5 for a drink" and he will get the amount directly on his twitpay-account.

This twitpay-account is completely virtual. But from an amount about $10 it will be changed into real money by a service like paypal.

At the beginning twitpay takes a charge of… Continue

The shortage of the drinking water is the biggest social problem of the 21 century. Nearly 1 billion people all over the world haven't got access to clean drinking water. Furthermore 2,5 billions people live without moderate sanitary supply.

CleanPower.Port: Solarcarports

When you are on tour in the city with your car it´s always great to find a free public parking space. But wouldn´t it be better if the space is covered to protect the car from rain and sun?

In the future when more and more electric cars are on the streets solarcarports could also work as a filling station. While doing some shopping e.g. the battery of the electric car can be charged on special battery chargers.

On the roof of the carport are photovoltaicmodules which produces clean… Continue

Understand

Understand by observing the environment, infrastructure, culture and lives of people by being there.

You can imagine a lot when you see pictures on television, but what about the impressions you collect when you see all the despair and helplessness of other people locally.

Aren't experiences the reason why we react to help, take care or solve problems? There is only one possibility to unterstand - to be on spot to live to see and make the experience which so… Continue

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
