A game to model a crisis

Computer simulations try to model real-life situations in the most accurate way possible, taking into consideration inputs and processing them into outputs. Examples include flight simulators and games. I would like to point out how good the game PANDEMIC 2 is at modelling a world wide pandemic crisis.
Here is the direct link, have a play for yourselves:…

When I'll be 100

What I will try to become is a sort of guardian of knowledge. My greatest ambition would be to create a huge database of DNA, which would hold the key for future generations to create any form of life. I believe that Biology will reach its apex by the end of the 21st century and I am confident that humanity will be able to create an enormous deposit of information which can be used to bring back to life the extinct species which will probably have dissappeared from the face of the earth. With… Continue

Continue

Thank you mum

Usually, I am not afraid to say what I think. To me, being silent is a sign of weakness and cowardice. When it comes to speaking out and praising one person in particular, I seem to recoil and draw back. What's worse, is that I don't just recoil like an old cannon would, but, just like that cannon, I explode in a series of bursts of anger. Sometimes, I really cannot, ( and not because of shyness) express myself in a civilised way,in a way which would convene anyone who is about to see their… Continue

The Project of trade

I believe that the only way to change the world, is to adopt a system which is not based on money anymore. That is why I have created a project, which I can hopefully carry out in school, where an exchange mechanism is in place.

To explain myself better:

We would set up a little shop, full of academic materials, eg: erasers, rulers, pencils, calculators etc... and then, we fix a price for each item. If someone wants to buy the item, they will give us other objects…

Algae as fuel for the future

Algae fuel, also called algal fuel, algaeoleum or second-generation biofuel, is a biofuel which is derived from algae. During photosynthesis, algae and other photosynthetic organisms capture carbon dioxide and sunlight and convert it into oxygen and biomass. Up to 99% of the carbon…

CREDITO-The Story

CREDITO

It is 2a.m. and I hate getting up early for things which aren't truly sensational. Fortunately enough, the truly unsensational ring of the satellite cell-phone was followed by big news. Money was a thing of the past. Ok, let me get this straight, some anonymous guy wakes me up in the middle of the night, in the middle of my sleep, to tell me that some big diplomat on the other… Continue

Seuthopolis

As it stands, the city of Seuthopolis is literally underwater. The ruins of the culture that once thrived there were discovered in the midst of a reservoir construction project, and the water won the first battle. But a Bulgarian architect named Zheko Tilev is working to uncover the ruins and preserve it with a dam wall surrounding the city, protecting the… Continue

World Water Day

I have contributed by organising the World Water Day in my school, where we calculated how much water we use in a day, and then we converted the amount in litres, into money, to donate to this association:

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

The meal

It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal. I walk to the fridge and open it to see what there is for me to eat. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Foods are vacc** sealded for easy…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
