World Water Day

I have contributed by organising the World Water Day in my school, where we calculated how much water we use in a day, and then we converted the amount in litres, into money, to donate to this association:

Sahara going Solar

From Wikipedia I have read this amazing quote:

In the Sahara desert, with less cloud cover and a better solar angle, one can obtain closer to 83 W/m². The unpopulated area of the Sahara desert is over 9 million km², which if covered with solar panels would provide 750 terawatts total. The Earth's current energy comsumption is around 13.5 TW at any…

Renewable Predictions

As soon as Renewables will start to grow exponentially, I believe that Climate Change will not be a problem anymore. Right now, forecasts predict that Renewables will continue to increase in a linear relationship over the years, but I have heard of massive projects like the ones in the Sahara, which could reverse this trend

Roof making food? A reality

As the world's population becomes increasingly urbanized, issues of urban sustainability are becoming more important. Cities, particularly in North America, are at present quite unsustainable, using far more land and resources than they physically encompass. One proposed alternative to the current system is the nurturing of a more localized urban agriculture. Unfortunately, land…

OBESITY- Today's Plague

I believe that the greatest wrong on the planet is that there are the same number of overweight people as there are underweight people. Here is a link that leads to some interesting facts on the world, and on hunger: http://www.worldometers.info/…

His doc**entaries on the environment are very inspiring and they are an excellent tool to understand what is really going on out there in the world of nature. A Carbon-Neutral Doc**entary which is truly sensational:

Muhammed Yunnus

I have followed the initiative of Muhammed Yunnus.
His microcredit is a big hit in developing countries, but can it also work in a developed country such as Italy?
Me and two of my schoolmates have decided to create a little bank inside our school, where we lend money to our friends (very small amounts of money) and they will then give us the money back. The way we gain money is simply by accepting donations of students who use our system. We are sure that those who will pick up…

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

I walk to the fridge and open it to see what there is for me to eat. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
