I wake up early today as I have for every Christmas since I was five. The year is 2020 and I reach for my cell phone thats outer shell is made of the new recharging material so I never have to waste any electricity charging my phone or worrying about it dying on me. I check the time and its 5:04 A.M. I decide there is no point in trying to get back to sleep so I wake up and decide to hit the cycling machine, as I get my work out I am peddling and generating the electricity need to cook my… Continue

The La Esperanza Hydroelectric Project in Honduras provides clean power for surrounding areas and sells some to the National Electric Company as well. This hydroelectric plant located in the Intibuca River near La Esperanza uses the rivers flow to create electricity that doesn't release carbon emissions into the environment. The La Esperanza Hydroelectric Project and the National Electric Company have recently worked together and have been able to provide power to the town of San Fernando where… Continue

The organization I talked about in my Learn4 blog (http://www.urgentevoke.com/profiles/blogs/learn4-4) Living Water was raising funds at the Passion conference I just attended in Atlanta, while at this conference I donated along with countless other college students and together we raised enough money to build 22 wells in Guatemala. I think that the work that this organization is doing is really cool, and I also think that it is crazy that college students raised… Continue

I recently attended a conference held in Atlanta called Passion, as over 20,000 college students gathered for 4 days they decided that we could use this to make an impact on the world. Of the many causes that funds were raised for over the course of those 4 days one was Living Water International, and organization that works to bring water to communities. During Passion college students raised $113.865 to build 22 wells built in Guatemala. Since starting in 1990 Living Water has completed 9,000… Continue

The hero I choose to follow is Steve Livingston, he worked for five years in Honduras on a Ranch serving as a father for boys who's family's could not support them or had abandoned them. Instead of creating just another orphanage where they could house these children Steve and the team he worked with created a community designed around the typical family to bring these children up in.

With multiple groups of children, boys and girls, about five to seven in size, each assigned to a pair… Continue

Don't fight culture. I feel this is a very important realization for us to come too. Often when we are trying to fix a problem and help someone we work to do it our way and to fit our culture, but we aren't going to be the ones who are necessarily living with our solution so it should not be built for us. By designing and innovating ideas to fit into the culture that will be using the idea, we will ensure that all of our hard work is not cast aside by the societies lack of familiarity or… Continue

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
