Thinking Outside the Box and Into the Urinal

There's some things you hear and have a hard time really processing, and using urine as a source of cheap hydrogen fuel via electrolysis is far up on the list.

Quick stats: Potentially 90 miles to a gallon. Water takes 1.23 volts to be split and release hydrogen, while Urea only takes about .37 volts, making it more efficient for hydrogen production.

Halloween 2020

Trick or treaters have already started to arrive in their bright and colorful costumes. Most of them have various shake lights attached as well as reflectors, making them visible to cars.

Candy has been de-emphasized over the years due to the damage it can cause, but a lot of sugar free substitutions still make the grade. A lot of the left over candies from the year are broken down for biofuels.

It's a good night to keep the lights low, keep things scary while we wait on the… Continue

My Own Micro-McDonalds

It's dinner time, March 28, 2020. Certainly there are days where I might eat out at a restaurant or use a traditional electric oven or microwave, but the sun is still high in the sky and it's a good day.

If my grandmother could see her lawn, she'd have a conniption at what had been done to it. Still, she understood gardening, but I had never really understood landscaping. Pretty is meaningless if ugly can be put to good use.

The yard is divided up into four sections, a small… Continue

Hunger in Florida

The Florida Food Security Team is a collection of agencies, both governmental and private, working in tandem to reduce overall hunger in the Florida region. By networking a number of groups with different resources, specialties and scope, then simplifying and eliminating wasteful bureaucracy where needed, efficient action levels were achieved.

Personal favorite highlight is a program by the Department of… Continue

Jake Harriman

This man has a powerful and evocative writing style, with a personal story that lets you know he's not only on the front lines of social innovation, but has seen poverty, war, transformation, and the resilience of people up close.

One of his most recent posts really struck me- awakenings. Mirroring some of the teaching points, he says that the extremely poor are some of the best teachers he has… Continue

Favorite Rule to Social Innovation

Paul Nolak's #3:Learn everything there is to know about the specific

context

The simple truth is that a solution good for one situation may be

absolutely useless in another. Take the current energy issues in the

automobile industry. We have multiple energy solutions being worked on-

hybrids are one solution, electric another, various bio-diesels and

ethanol, and likely a few completely marginalized or unheard of. Hybrids

allow for a reduction of gas… Continue

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
