During the last 10 weeks I manly made positive experiences with EVOKE. Especially interesting form e were all the information about the different countries, cultures and problems which you can get as well out of the Blogs, as through the links which are given each week for your week mission. The blessing and the curse of Journalists - Learn 9

-    Managing Panic in Pandemic    -

For me, this is the most important point. The text tells about the power of journalist and how they can help to manage a pandemic. If it is right or not, but a lot of people believe that the journalists will rather tell us the truth than politicians. And so, they believe them.

So politicians can use this channel to reach the people during a pandemic.…

Expert-Discussion - Imagine 9

I would create a web page for experts to exchange their ideas and to find solutions for pandemic. I think one of the most problems of newspapers, TV and Internet is that everybody can write or tell what he or she wants.

Well, of course this is also the big benefit, especially of the internet. But it is also a problem of our time. A lot of people belief this mediums and they often get panic when they read it.

Have you ever searched in the internet what it can…

Turtle Power- Learn 8

I decided for THE PARTICIPATION OF LOCAL COMMUNITIES IN THE CONSERVATION OF WETLANDS RESOURCES IN GHANA: THE CASE OF MARINE TURTLE CONSERVATION

Like you can see in the headline, the article is about the marine turtles of Ghana. The zone between Volta estuary and Pram pram represents a concentrated breeding area for turtles nesting along the beaches of Ghana. The major threat to marine turtles is…

Nature is powerful - Imagine 8

Well, I don’t think that knowledge over delivery will be very important in the future. Cause of internet and detailed archiving of data over delivery will only be important inside a family to keep family history alive.

What we have to deliver is that nature is powerful, more powerful than humans will ever be.

When you look in the past you can see it: every time when megalomania of humans became too mighty nature showed us, who we are… equal if it was an unsinkable ship,… Continue

an interview... Act 7

I decided to write about the development of Fürth, because Oberasbach is really not interesting…Fürth is a middle sized city with a high part of foreigners. That’s why Fürth hast not really much money. But they use it very effective! About 15 years ago, Fürth decided to spend more money in renewable energy, especially in solar energy. And so in 2002 they joined in the German Bundes League of solar energy! 2007 they reached place 3 in Germany! And in the Photovoltaic Bundes League they are on…

holy, peacful world...Oberasbach... a real boring small family-city... Learn 7

I love the idea of Ushahidi! I think this is one of the best ideas I read the last 6 weeks. And I would be glad to take this idea and use it for a problem in my town. But I have a problem…

I live in Oberasbach, a very small city in Germany, near to Nuremberg. It is a typical small city with typical small problems. And it lies in an area, where we don’t really care about natural problems. We have no big rivers, no high mountains, no tornados, blizzards or something else.

Dreams of the future - Oberasbach in 2020... Imagine 7

This is Oberasbach, the city where I live:

Here you can see my favorite “news” until 2020:

1:   the old gymnasium is altered and enlarged to a bigger center where fulltime-education, lunch, private lessons and help by doing the homework can be offered

2:   We’ve got a…

Baby boom - Learn 6

I decided for Midwives Deliver – And Not Only Babies.

I think that these is the first important step in each little live – what will the chance of clean water, healthy food and education use, when the children die?

Doctors are often too expensive for the people-and often they are also afraid of them. That’s easy to understand. Doctors are doing a lot of things which are unknowable for the people, especially cause of the big role of superstition which often dominates the belief… Continue

Sunrise over the world...IMAGINE 6

When sun rises over the world in 2020, an old woman in Ghana will come in front of her home, she will stretch her arms and her body and then she will go to the stable to see if the baskets her daughter filled the evening before are still OK. Of course they are. Are little smile comes over her lips and she goes back to her home, to make a little breakfast for her and her family.

During she goes back she fells happy. She knows that she has a better live than a lot of other…

ACT 5

Adults often have problems with the simplest things.

They need very difficult and bulked agreements and most of the times they anyhow need a lot of expensive lawyers ex post. And they are doing so strange things with currencies… they buy US dollars in China to sell them in London although they life in India and have never been in China, England or the USA…. Or they sell shares of a company which they self don’t have but they are promised to get in the next…

I think th

at money only can work when two requirements are fulfilled:

1. Money must have the same value for everybody

2. The value of money must be visible

The first point, I think, is achieved. Of course you can by nearly nothing for 1 € in Europe but you can do your wh*** buying for one week with 1 € in Africa. But over large areas the first point is fulfilled. And for the moment it isn’t very important for the poor Africans that they…

A lot of people have the possibility to get enough water – but often not enough clean water. Especially in Africa this is one of the most common cause of death. Brackish water causes illnesses like diarrhea or ch***ra.

SODIS is a very simple possibility to kill most of the causative organisms with just a simple PET bottle.

For most of the affected people it is not possible to cook the water before using because timber is too expensive. But 25 years ago, a Lebanese explorer found…

ACT 4

I found an experiment in the internet, you can find it here. I’m sorry, the link is only German. It is an instruction to clean water only with a plastic bottle, sand, a cutter, pebbles, absorbent cotton, a hand of earth and two gla****.

It makes it possible to show children with very easy means that it is easy to make water clean, but that it is even more easy to make it dirty, waste and…

When you go shopping, you can see a lot of food, shoes, clothes, etc. in the windows, the shopping trolleys and the shopping baskets. What you cannot see are the thousands liters of water, which are needed during the production of our daily consumer items.

For one kilo of Tomatoes you need 50-100 liter of Water, but if one Tomato is a little bit brown on one side you cast it away. For one cotton t-shirt you need 2000 liter of Water and for a Jeans even 8000. A lot of this water is… Continue

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal. I walk to the fridge and open it to see what there is for me to eat. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
