I would call on journalists to gather online and answer questions that people have about the pandemic.
There are many reasons why:
First, their job is to give unbiased information regarding the unfolding of events
Second, they are trained in the psychology of reporting, i.e. if they are receiving inquiries that reflect fear and panic, they will gear their answers to alleviate fear and panic. If they are receiving inquiries that reflect that the public is not aware of…

Empowering Women

In the Caribbean, I left a surf shop with a woman who was a single mother and a teacher. I also bought her a car. For another woman, I built an apartment for her to rent out in order to earn money. For another woman, I left money for her to send her son to private school. In S. America, I taught English to young women for free so that they could have better opportunities in the future.

Ten Years Later...

I gave English class to two young women in S.America. The young women were both from a rural town where they did not have much access to information or education. Having travelled 35 countries and speaking seven languages, I felt the need to impart my knowledge to the next generation. The cla**** were not specifically for women, there were boys as well, but who really took advantage of the cla**** were the women. The experience was very positive for them in that they had an opportunity to learn… Continue

Water Filter to Solve Water Crisis

My event is a demonstration of a technology that filters water. The pores of the first filter in 2008 was 15 nanometers. Now, in 2020, the filter is 1 nanometer, smaller than the smallest virus known to man.
Here is a post of the video of the original demonstration of the water filter at a…

Party without the Economic or Environmental Hangover!

Since I don't celebrate holidays, choosing instead to celebrate every day that I wake up alive, my party is just a gathering of friend's for the sake of having a party. I'm in Tsangbo Bend in Eastern Tibet, seven thousand feet below an awesome outpouring of glacier-fed waterfalls. The sound machine, the lights, the freezer keeping cold drinks, are all fueled by hydro-electric power from this source. The party stretches on late into the night and continues the next day. There is no fear about… Continue

Inverse Food Security, From Brasil to Switzerland and back again

When I first saw this mission, I wasn't sure how I could apply it to Switzerland. Switzerland is not Sub-Saharan Africa. You go to the grocery store here and there is an abundance of food. The social structure of Switzerland has been engineered in such a way that the majority of the population lead comfortable lives well above the poverty level. When you look at the label of the products in a Swiss household, many of them sport a label claiming Swiss quality or Swiss guarantee or 100% Swiss.… Continue

Citizen of The Venus Project

Exactly ten years from now I am going to be a citizen of the first city created by Jacque Fresco and the Venus Project. The city is going to have all up-to-date and available technology and there will be abundance of information, time, freedom and resources. Everything will be free, without monetary value attached and I and other members of the society will work on things that are significant and interesting to me and will have the resources and freedom to explore new ideas.

Shadowing The Venus Project

I chose to shadow Jacque Fresco, Roxanne Meadows and Peter Joseph from the Venus Project. I have been in contact with Roxanne on the phone several times where we exchanged ideas about the Venus Project. Also, I listen to all three of them on their weekly podcast. I believe that they are trying to find a way to end all of the crisis on the planet by developing a new type of economy and society based on resources instead of the monetary system. They advocate the principles of sharing instead of… Continue

Crisis Communication: Can We Trust You?

Hmmm...I read all of the sites and I found many different things interesting. I found Peter Sandman's comments on pandemic psychology very interesting, particularly his observations that there is a great disparity between how much danger there actually is and how much danger the public perceives there to be. In Dori Reissman's statements, she talks about pandemics from a political point of view. When she talks about push technology and training the public to receive information that is being… Continue

Unleashing Technology's Ability to Improve Lives through A Resource-Based Economy

I chose the story about the women in Burkina Faso and the program of providing them generators that will process rice for them whereas before they had to spend hours pounding it by hand. The article focuses on the improvements in the lives of the women as a result of this technology. It states that they have more time for education, health and that their children also have a higher chance of going to school because they aren't needed at home to help as much as before. It states that the… Continue

Sustainable Energy, Sustainable Economy, Sustainable Society

Jacque Fresco developed The Venus Project which is a model of a sustainable society free from the constraints of the monetary system and where everything is available

in abundance, including energy from sustainable alternative sources.

He has developed technologies that harness the energy from volcanos

and is a supporter and innovator of developments in wind, wave,

tidal, and solar energy. sutainable energy, we can work all we want

Are There Any Corporations that Care About the Water Crisis?

I think all of the videos have good intentions, but I can't say I can pick any of them as a favorite because I don't think any of them addresses the root of the problem. The metaphor that I would use is that someone has had their arm cut off and we are offering them a bandaid. The root of the problem, I believe, is that their water that used to be clean has been polluted by industrial runoff…

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
