Act 4 - Water Crisis

Water is really important for us, we need it for drinking, taking bath, washing clothes, etc. So, it's okay to use water for those things, but there is one very big problem when we are using the water and that is we are wasting it. An average galloons of water wasted in America is 40 thousands a year, even the washing machine used 50 galloons of water. Taking bath is really important for our body's hygienic, but it uses 19 thousand galloons of water a year and over all the water used in the…

Imagine 1 - Social Innovation

In 2020, I'm living in United States of America by myself studying in University. I'm also a professional basketball player in the NBA. I always wish to play in NBA since I was in grade 6 and I also always watch the best professional basketball player in those days. But now, I don't need to watch them play, because I'm already in the situation where they were 10 years ago. Many people had helped me improve in basketball and because of them I can have a good life like these. But, because…

Alternative Currency

Alternative Currency is the money that can only be used in a community, but not outside of it. Also, alternative currency is for the people that are using the money, not the people that have the money and I think that no one have the money, all of the people are using the money. One of the example of alternative currency is barter. Barter is trading things with things, for example I want to trade my laptop with the watch that I want. Barter have advantages and disadvantages. One of the…

Act 5 - Future of Money

The experience that I have done is saving money that my parents gave me for buying lunch. My parents give me money every week for lunch and my maid will make the breakfast. Sometimes, my maid will make a big amount of breakfast and I can't finish it, so I will continue eating it on lunch time. That means that I don't need to buy any lunch and I can save my lunch money. I have two saving box, one is for coins money and one is for the leftover lunch money. For the coin saving box, I can't use…

Learn 6 - Empowering Women

The story that I choose for this mission is UN officials join global call to end violence against women and girls. I found that the person who addressed this event is the deputy secretary, General Jan Eliasson and the name of the campaign is 'One Billion Rising'. This is about raising voices to stop violence with women and girls, like rape, female genital mutilation and sex slavery. In the article, there is a person called Mr. Ban said, "On this special day, I urge all governments to send us…

Learn 5 - Future of Money

Barter is old-fashioned of exchanging a thing that you want to trade to the thing that you want, that you are going to trade it with your thing. In old days, there is no money, so they only can trade things with things, for example a watch with a kg of rice. But, once there is money, it became a lot easier, because the buyer can just use money to trade/buy with the things they want/need. Also, if we use barter we will not know the value and we also don't know what to trade with, if we trade…

Imagine4 - Water Crisis

On March 24, 2020, Alchemy wants me to create an event or a challenge for the world water day. In the Internet, I found that there are 7 billions of people to feed today and it's predicted that 2 more billions of people will join on 2050. Each person in the planet will drink 2 to 4 litres of water everyday and some of them will waste the water that they drink. For example, throwing away the clean water or splashing each other using water. While their wasting the water, there are a lot of…

Learn 4 - Water Crisis

The one that I choose is Water 1st International, because from water problem, they can figure out one more problem that connects to water, the toilets and hygiene. Hygiene is also a big problem for a long time in Earth and because of hygiene, it can affect many things. In the website, it says that 5 million people, mostly children are killed because of the illness in the water they drink and diarrhea. Their solution is just basically giving low cost water supply and toilets. But, the…

Learn3 - Power Shift

My power player is Ashok Bharti and he start with the electricity cooperation in New Delhi. He reconnect the connection between the poor people with the group of people that provides services. He used a participatory model to let both poor people and the service providers get advantage. Participatory model is when everybody that needs or doesn't needs electricity, participate to help the poor people and each other. By doing that, the poor people will be a legal consumers and also can be…

In the Internet, I found that there are many people that don't have any money to buy food or grow their own vegetables. I really want to help them, so I keep thinking of what can I do to help them. After three months of learning, I know almost all the thing about growing vegetable. Then, my next…

The hero that I choose to shadow is Josh Nesbit. I choose him, because he is young and I can see that he work really hard for this community and service. This years, his budget is 2.5 million dollars, which is a lot of money. When I first search about him, I saw a video of him helping the people with different kinds of disease, he opened a medic camp in Africa. Providing Skills are Better than Giving Finished Technologies

I think that providing skill is better than just giving finished technology, because finished technology is finished and the function can't be develop or expand more. Finished technology cannot last long, sometimes it will not functioning or even breaks, then they will just need to try to fix it or they can only throw the product away. In other words with providing skills, they can explore more skills by their own with their knowledge and imagination. Skills can also last long, it will never…

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
