FIN!

WHICH great challenges and social problems should the EVOKE Network tackle next?

->I think one big problem is rural exodus. So the big cities will grow and grow. I think thats bad for the environment, cause the cities become to big and in the countriside are only old people.

WHERE in the world should the network try to build up new EVOKE communities?

->People in the western world are living in rich circ**stances, but if we loose this circ**stances no one could help the poor… Continue

Managing Panic in a Pandemic

Managing Panic in a Pandemic is for me the simplest but most necessary point.

You can see it all time in the news. Last year it was swine fever, befor that it was Avian influenza. It looks to me that someone only wants to start a big panic or riot. But for nothing! It wasn`t really dangerous. But whats about BSE I never hear anything about it today and still people die of BSE.…

Ushahidi

I think in future, if the citys will grow and grow. There is a big possibility for a riot or some kind of violence everywhere. You can see it today, it´s maybe a football game or a demonstration with a lot of angry people. so they walking in bigger croweds than today and start to fight. In this moment you could use the Ushahidi platform to alert or to get alert. If everybody do this noone can become part of this riot without fault!

What breakthrough solution will change the future of money forever?

I don`t have a realy good idea about the future of money, because I think it is a very complexe question. In this moment money have a very long history and the way we use it is the europaen and anglo saxon way this might be a problem for the h*** world. But after reading the text about the Microcredit I started to search about other solutions and I found Local currency. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Local_currency

POWER PLAYER:

I think this idea isn`t new but I like the implementation.

http://www.ueber-lebenskunst.org/contents/project_view/nodeId:53

It is the usage and construction of Dye-sensitized solar cell (Grätzel-Zelle).

The reason I like this is because of the showing of this technique to students or schoolkids who have to build those and so will understand that everyone can do something and that it… Continue

No over engeneering

One little part to help Africa or other low tech regions.
I think one solution ist to prevent over engeneering. So you won`t have to teach everybody how to use a very complex machine, if you build it easily. I can see it at myself. It is the Determinants of Perceived Ease of Use. Sure we can build very high technologically machines but if only an engineer can use it, it isn`t a solution. So we have to build simple, cheap and very tough machines, which everybody can use.

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
