Economics

A Couple weekends ago I went to the local flea market. I used a certain currency called bartering. What I had just previously bought I used to trade for something else. I was looking at a nice bracelet and had just bought this nice little trinket. The guy selling the bracelet said I could have the bracelet if I gave him the trinket. I sat there and pondered whether this would be a trade worth while. I believe this type of currency could not only help our economy but help relations with…

Economics

I think what would be cool is if each state had their own currency. That way each state would worry about their own economy. We would still keep the dollar as the standard. Like when you are traveling state to state and you don't have the local currency states will still accept a certain amount of the dollar. I believe this will make us less dependent on the government and help with the economy.

Whats Next?

I think that Season 2 on Evoke should help towards animals. I think we need to understand how animals are a big part of our lives, ecosystem, agriculture and much more. How we need to preserve animals and be thankful for all they give us. I think it would be wise to study the agriculture field in how animals are raised and used as food. How some animals are used as companions, and how animals help our ecosystem flourish. I believe we need to study and acknowlege all that animals do for…

crisis networking

The first person I would bring is Dr. Travis Stork, off of the show the Doctors. He is an ER doctor and has this leadership presence about him that in an emergency would be able to handle things with great efficiency. The second person would be my dad. He is great in emergency situations and can handle anything. Another person I would bring and yes this is kinda cliche is Carrie Underwood. I believe that in a crisis situation having someone there that can bring positive and light to a…

Crisis Communication

One thing that I thought was very important that most people don't know about with crisis communication is to have outrage management. Being able to control the reaction of the people around you and get them to calm down is very important in a crisis. You're goal is to control the outrage. Have them listen to the situation in a boring way. Allowing them to feel like the situation is not as severe and that you have it under control. Have outrage management allows for the situation to be taken…

indigenous Future

In 100 years from now I would have to tell the people here to watch out for the lizards they crawl around everywhere. Also the humidity.. it's the worst thing ever here in central Florida. If you want to have straight hair in the middle of the summer use a Hold and Shine creme. Also the heat here is unbearable in the summer time. Best thing to do is to get a sun visor to keep in your windshield. It will literally keep your car 10 degrees cooler. Also for Gainesville, watch out for the…

Case Study

I read the case study about creating a program to preserve natural resources in Botswana. What they found out that I think was the most important is that you can't just give people resources without showing them how to use it. The men and woman of Botswana were unable to utilize the program. So the program runners had to go back and show them how to use the program and how to utilize their resources.

Back home in Gulf Breeze part of our resilience plan is having prepared expos for natural disasters such as hurricanes and floods. FEMA rated us as one of the best prepared and offers the best insurance in the panhandle area. They also have expos for local business to prepare for Hazards and emergencies. And do donations to help the Boys and girls club going and running as a place for donations and a place for kids after school that get help with homework and help planning for jobs.

Empowering Woman

In the year 2020, woman and men will be equal. There will be a large chance of having a woman President and Vice president as well as the majority of globally managed companies under the employment of woman, now I understand that women will not rule the world, but we will be more respected, appreciated and recognized in the work place.

Empowering Women

One thing I would do to help empower women is to direct them to my roommate. She is the founder and president at the woman's pro-life group at the local Catholic church. Her group helps support and encourage woman. Keeps them in good spirits and gives them high hopes. This is a safe place for woman who are dealing abortion problems, pregnancies and other family problems. Its a great support system for young woman who need help.

Crisis

One crisis that I would see happening in the future would be the threat of hurricanes, tornadoes, and flooding. One way I would help communication threw crisis would be just what we are doing now. With our alerts on TV's, radios, and sirens. I would also increase the practice of our government with helping the communities recover from tragedy. I think their needs to be more evacuations plans and need to practice this plans every 6 months to ensure that the plans will still work. We also need…

Water Crisis

I would like to start the Give a glass Day. Where one day out of the year one person will give a glass of clean water to someone. To make sure that for one day everyone has water. It would be an international give water day. It would help people realize how important water is and how we need to preserve it. Also it shows of the importance of water and how everyone needs clean water and how most people do not have access to clean water.

This day would be to raise awareness of the…

Water Crisis

One of the most amazing water inventions I have heard of is called the LifeStraw. I didn't believe it when I first heard about it but then I did some research. This thing is able to filter any source of water make the water drinkable. It filters out all the bacteria and bad pathogens. Its a simple straw that filters about 1000 liters of water enough for one person in one year. It was created by an organization out of Switzerland and has been given to third world countries and helped during…

Food Security

One way I helped with food security was that my roommate and I went and donated all her families eggs to some families that we knew who were short on money. We also helped donate eggs to a nonprofit organization that uses the eggs to help feed their pregnant dogs. This nonprofit raises and rescues dogs to be trained as specialized medical service dogs. We were able to donate over 50 eggs to 3 families so they can have breakfast for the next morning and cook other things as well.

It…

Food Security

Just recently I have noticed on the tv that country music star Hunter Hayes is now helping endorse ConAgra food products to help raise money to end child hunger. I did not realize how many children in America go Hungry every day. Hunter Hayes is trying to make a big difference while breaking records at the same time. He seeks to have a road race. Preforming 10 concerts in 10 different cities in 24 hours with the money going to help end child hunger issues. He also has some of the proceeds of…

Holiday in 2020

My favorite holiday is Christmas. I love decorating for Christmas with lights all over the house. I would like to see if we could use some solar powered energy. A solar panel that comes as a Christmas decoration that is nice looking during the day. So it absorb any natural light energy, and turns heat into energy. So any energy that is warmer than 32 degrees it will turn into energy. And that energy would last for 6 hours of full powered lights around the house. We could have that actually…

March 2020

In the year 2020 I would like to be happily married is a family. I would like to be able to feed my family natural foods. Preservative free foods, meats, and veggies. I would like my family to not have the chemicals in their bodies. I would like fast food places to slowly disappear and we find a healthier options to fast foods. More packages of fruits and veggies. I would like to see the agriculture industry take a big boom and really prosper. Producing large amounts of healthy fruits…

Food Security

I believe the biggest security that we face in our nation is the lack of healthy, clean, preservative free foods that are affordable. These days the price of fresh produce, and organic produce is climbed. It is impossible for the families with a struggling budget to eat healthy. I believe this is the main factor in our nations battle against obesity. More families are able to afford Oreo's then they do an apple. I believe a solution for this would be more farmers markets. I love my farmers…

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
