Evoke: Ideological Imperialism is unavoidable.

The idea of imperialism has a negative ton in our post-modern society. The thing is that the EVOKE project is operating on an intellectual imperialism. One might say how is that possible? If we look at many posts on the site the obvious and easiest solution is to change the culture and to an extent force it to change. Many of the solutions are western and technological in focus. This limits the scope of ideas that are accepted as well as limit the ideas to be implemented. The ultimate end of… Continue

I spared my coin and did not give it out. I decided that the biggest flaw of feminist thought was that money was the grand equalizer of the sexes. I decided instead of giving my money I decided to teach women how to save and invest money. I showed them the health values of learning how to cook healthy meals instead of depending on fast food. I told them the power of mental strength. I taught the value of the long game and not just the immediate. I told them them the value of working with other… Continue

I mentor a lot to young men. I am currently unemployed. My goal is to find a young girl to mentor. The problem is this. For an older man to take a younger woman under your wing looks bad. Even if you are trying to help the individual exploitation or sexual advantage appears to be leveraged against the male. The needs and goals of women are different then men. How they want to approach things is a lot different. I think the illusion is that you can not teach and mentor men and women in the same… Continue

I chose the link above. Thing that I learned from this article that while the women gained land they didn't get most. They were victimized by a Marxist government with the removal of land ownership. The women are recieving "crap" land. It is land that needs to be worked and revitilized. I… Continue

I have tried various forms of alternative currencies in various video games. Even with a the consumption of goods inflation and the have-nots are apparent. The problem with any currency system is that it is based on work. Someone will have to work and translate that work into something useful for themselves. This is the core of money that doesn't go away is that one is trading time and effort for someone elses time and effort.

I think another thing is to return to a micro barter system. This
involves people trading goods and services to hammer out deals. The best
way to make sure that this goes through is to have a micro common use
contract for people to use. Amounts and quality must be listed. This way
people can have a easy way to negotiate for goods and services without
money if they choose so.

I think that micro-finanse loans as seen here (http://www.buildanest.com/aboutus.asp) could be a start. I also think that capital restriction would be another good point to look at. If I give a person money for school should they be able to spend the excess money on video games? The answer should be no. So why don't loans come with the same restriction. We can have loans for specific needs and the ability for goods not to be bought with… Continue

I find myself in a position where I don't really know what to do that would be a big event. To me the big event thing is a problem because it follows a flash in the pan philosophy of change and impact. I think what would be a good idea is for people to hand out refrigerator magnets that display how much it cost per gallon of water to process after it turns into waste water. There is something daily people need to think about in their daily lives instead of big events that just bring nostalgic… Continue

Here is a link to a simple rain water harvester.

I think that trying to make big waves is a bad idea because it requires vested info-structure to do so. Simple ways to reduce water waste would be beneficial first. The next thing that could be done is have trucks like trash trucks, collect rain water for some purpose. I'm still up in the air on… Continue

I am celebrating Christmas. The Christmas tree is gone. The is a return to candles recognizing Jesus as the light of the world. Some people are having a hard time focusing on the spiritual nature of the holiday due to the reduction of and energy. Sadly to many are focusing on the past and the bright images of 20 years ago.

We down't need big windmills we can generate more then enough energy using micro trubines. I think that we are better off with this option then the windmill option because it kills birds and bats.

I would combine the algae used for bio-diseal and apply it to micro generators around a city. Instead of a core generator we would have multiple generators powering a city. Not only that we would have mandatory solar panels for all government buildings. Due to the demand and mass production of solar panels it would lower cost and allow for the country to get off a nuclear dependence.

A young boy sits down with his parents. They are middle class Americans living in what 10 years ago would be considered an urban slum. The young boys birthday is coming up and he asks for somethign special. The boy asks for sloppy joes. The parents look at him and say, "Wouldn' you prefer a party we can get baloons and a clown. I think clowns come to this part of town." The boy interupted, "No I want sloopy joes." The mother looks at her son and says "Honey you know we can't afford beef.…

  • What I have done is that I gotten to know my neighbors better. We all have defferent needs. I'm unemployed and one of my neigbors helps me out with food. So we share food. One goes to the food banks while I help out. What we will have to do is make it economical and advantagious for people to choose to resource share. Not only that I would setup up a system in which people have a limit on how much fast food they can eat a week.

I choose Ravi Zacharius from RZIM.ORG. I think the biggest issues in our future are not technological but philosphical/theological. The biggest point is that he promotes reflective thought on the ways of theology and philosphy and is honest about the up and downsides of a thought proccess.

Still learning this system. The parts that stand out is the point of "Don’t fight culture." I think that we fail to realize that our biggest problem is that we have a value and worldview conflict. A westerner in south Africa has a very different morals and worldviews then the natives.…

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. I walk to the fridge and open it to see what there is for me to eat. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
