A crash course in changing the world.
In season 2 Evoke should focus more on the importance of education for people all over the world, at least in the developing countries, because as I already mentioned a few times I´m absolutely convinced that education is a huge key factor to face (social) problems all over the world.
Also I think it could be important to teach the people playing Evoke some more things about renewable energies, cause satisfying the humans energy consumption is going to be a huge problem in the future I…

I think the most important one is the panic management in a pandemic, because as if a pandemic isn´t already enough for people to handle with, we don´t need journalists, politicans etc. to make the people fear even more, so it is really necessary for a government in a crisis to gain and maintain public trust just to show all those affected "hey you are not alone with this, we´re going to get through this together" and to make them follow what you say to do.
This is the reason why an…

As I am living in Lower Saxony I don´t think that there will be any crises we have to face in the feoreseeable future, but of course there are some in Germany that already happenede and might happen again some day.
The one thing I could remember is the flood in Dresden in 2002, here is a video showing some pictures and information about it:

In a situation like this I think…

I´ve chosen an article about domestic violence against women in Gaza.
The article says, that there are still over 30% in the Gaza Strip that are exposed to (pysical) abuse in their homes, while there are 15% exposed to sexual abuse and nearly 75% exposed to pschological abuse, too.
The main reason for this - according to the report - is that, while the Israeli blockade halted imports and has cut jobs, the Gazan families have to survive with even less than before, which in the end…

I´ve opt to help someone kickstart their project (ok, to be honest I´ve just donated 1 $, but I think this task is more about getting experience with things like this, so everybody should be ok with that I think).
The project I´ve chosen is this one:

as I think it´s a…

I am coming home from work in the early evening, because it´s the 30th birthday of my wife/girlfrined and I want to take her out for dinner at first and after that our friends and parents and siblings are coming to celebrate with us.
So I´m going to park my electric car in my garage and plug it in to load it´s battery, for that reason there is a solar installation on the roof and since the efficency factor has greatly increased during the last years and the sun is shining high today, it…

If I have to plan the World Water Day 2020 it wouldn´t take place on a beach or near a river or lake and also the people would not get water to drink for free like mentiod by others.
As it is my task to capture the Worlds attention and I believe you can´t do that by just having fun and doing some sports and everybody celebrates the day, I think such an event has to be more rough and shocking to make the people realize what the problem is.
So I could imagine I would choose a setting…

My favourite water cleaning project is a project called "PAUL" (stands for "Portable Aqua Unit for Lifesaving" ), which was invented by Prof. Dr.-Ing. F.-B. Frechen from the University of Kasself and is kind of a waterbackpack.
Here is how it works:
There is a membrane in it, which filters more than 99.99% of bacteria and other pathogens from polluted water, so that it can be used for drinking, cooking etc. .
The main advantage of PAUL is that it´s as effective as normal…

Wow, first of all I have to admit that I´m really impressed by the idea of Jessica (and also Hugo), I´ve never thought of generating energy from playing football and think it´s pretty cool, because it combines fun and (energy) productivity and - lets be honest - what can be better than that?;-)
Anyway for this task I´ve searched the web and here is what I found:
There are several (and even german) websites with competitions or lists of social start-ups, such as…

I live in a small village near Helmstedt, Germany and happily there aren´t huge food security problems in my region, but of course there are some in Germany.
As I read a few days ago, there are nearly 3.000.000 children in Germany suffering famine and/or poverty, I was shocked as I read the article, because I´ve never thought of such a huge number of starving children in Germany, so during this task I checked some projects or organizations which already help fighting against hunger…

On March 10, 2020, I´m coming home from my work in the evening and I´m feeling really good about what I´ve done today, because I worked with some of the most creative people I know on some problems most of us care about.
My wife and my children are already sitting on the table waiting for me to join them, so that we can have a nice meal together, talking about the day and just having a good time.
In 2020 I might be a vegetarian, because I´m getting sick of the way we treat animals…

In 2022 I hope I´m living in a nice house with my wife and my kids in some place in the world I like and am happy to live in, whereever that might be.
As I keep on dreaming that one day I will be self-employed it would be nice to work in my own (and quite successfull) company with great people on great innovations which will be enjoyed by people all over the world and will help them making there life better/ easier.
I would also use renewable energies at home and at work as much as…

I choose Guy Kawasaki as my social innovation role model, because I´ve already read his articles and blog posts for a few months now, so I´ve known him before and really like the way he talks about innovation and great ideas and since I am interested in the japanase culture as well, he is the perfect choice for me.
I´m also going to read one or more of his books, hoping that they´re going to help me generating great ideas and focusing on problems, too.
Another thing I really like…

There are a few secrets I really like, but if I have to opt for one it would be the "Do the hard work needed to find a simple solution." (our world is complex enough, I think there is no need for even more complexity), because I think if you really focus on a special thing/ problem and keep on thinking it over and over again you will finally get to a point where you´ve extracted the main aspects of the problem and be able to reduce its complexity and solve it effective and efficient, so that…
