My 100 year old Indigenous Knowledge

If I were 100 years old and had to pass down indigenous information, I would share the secrets of a clean environment and a lush environment. By preserving forests and green areas, it keeps the city clean, it cleans the air lowering pollution, enhances the appearance of the city and preserves the ever shrinking environment. In addition, it preserves the smaller town feel, keeping the original feeling of the area.

Water Pollution in Delhi

I found an issue in Delhi where they cannot get the proper equipment in order to filter their water systems. The town cannot get this equipment because they refuse to pay the bribes requested by the inspectors. This shows a small problem in a local town that could be easily prevented, however, individuals refuse to let it happen for the better of the community.

Bluffton Year 2020

After working for my hometown of Bluffton for their resilience plan for 2020, I am finally complete. My main goal was to keep as much of the town green as possible. We preserved thousands of acres as forever wild, restricting building on the property. In addition, we added multiple neighborhoods increasing the population cap to 100,000.

According to the Charleston County Comprehensive Plan 5-Year Review, the county plans on "Completing a detailed food and farm a****sment that maps the local food shed and the farmland required to support it and that makes recommendations regarding planning for a more resilient food supply by protecting adequate land and farms in the surrounding region". Urban Warning System

Ushahidi is a very useful application that can allow people in the surrounding area about potential problems in the area. I believe a good way to warn the public about issues in the United States is using the iPhone idea with Amber Alerts. Currently, Apple has a system where if you are in a certain area where the Amber Alert is issued, you automatically get a message on your iPhone. This idea could be utilized with natural disasters etc. and applied to multiple different devices, not just…

Empowered Women of 2020!

Vocational & Life Skills Training For Afghan Women from globalgiving.org is one of the best programs to fund in my opinion. Currently under the terrorist regimes in Afghanistan, they are severely oppressing women and preventing them from exercising their basic rights. By donating to this fund, you would be giving women in Afghanistan the power and ability to rise above the barriers and exercise their rights. By educating these women, you will allow them to understand that the oppression…

ACT5

At the beginning of this academic school year, I witnessed my roommate trade a pizza for a computer monitor. This is a way to barter goods, or trading one for another.

Scott Warren is a 25 year old man from the Forbes 30 under 30 list who created an ingenious idea on how to get high school students more involved in in civics. His idea was brought to life when he founded the group Generation Citizen. Generation Citizen goes into high school cla**** and has college students lead and teach civics cla**** based off actions that the students care about. Instead of the students learning about mundane topics have no interest in, they can pick what topics they…

M-PESA is an interesting article regarding the citizens of Kenya. What it is, is a mobile app that allows you to transfer money from one person to another, without the use of a bank. This gives independence to the citizens and the ability to not use a bank if they choose.

I believe that "do it yourself" money is going to have the biggest change in regards to how we use money in the future. I believe this because of the great push towards digital life the world. Everything we do is revolved around technology. I believe that in the future that there will be little to no cash, strictly digital transactions. This being said, digital cash will be the next change in money in the future. Additionally, people will want to digital cash because they cannot physically…

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
