crisis networking

my site would be similar to twitter. I love the fact that twitter is a sight that can be operated from people all over the world. When the Haiti disaster occured. i happend to be following a person that was stuck in haiti. I loved the fact that i could get information that was happening as they happening in real time. I wasnt reading an article or anything like, i was getting first hand material from the source. He would send twitpics of certain things that you cant really see while watching… Continue

urban resilience Learn7

I think think the use of Ushahidi is great. It seems like another networking site like twitter or facebook. When the disasters in Haiti were occuring i found it amazing that i was getting information and pictures from individuals that were in that location. I was following a man on twitter, and he sent twitpics of things as they occured. It felt as if i was there. I love using twitter.

Empowering Women

life for the women in 2020 that i helped in 2010 is overwhelming. They are able to stand strong and confindent in their lives. They no longer have to fall victim to abuse again. They have learned from their experiences and are moving along making good decisions, and helping people that battle with the same types of issues that they have battled.

Empowering Women Act6

I did not make a monetary donation, however i have donated my time. I as well as classmates volunteered at a battered womens shelter. We assisted in a store that was an extention to the shelter, where living necessities were available. I was very touched by assising because we were contributing in turning these women's lives around, voulnteering our services. It was very uplifting to make a difference.

Empowering Women Learn6

The Empowering Women story that i am following is Afghan women prisoners and raising their children in the first female-only prison in Kabul. 100s of Women prisoners have to bring their children to prison. They say the children are stressed most of the time and are not taught manners. Its difficult to take care of children in prison. If you you have family at home, it is better to keep them with family. They live amongst convicted killers. women spend their days sewing and embroidering, and… Continue

Future Money Act

I found out how to use a cashiers check!! I know im behind the times, but i had to go to my bank and get a cashiers check for the earnest money used in my home purchase. I didnt know how to do it, but it wasnt hard. The bank takes the amount of money you put on your cashiers check out of your bank account, for a ($5 fee at my bank). They type out the written amount on the check, with whom the check is made…

The Future of Money Learn

i ask this question alot... "Who invented the concept of money?" Could you imagine living in the world getting all that you needed and not having to pay for it. Money is actually the reasons why we have different cla****, why we have selection in what kind of clothes we buy, cars we drive, homes we live in, because we strive for more, and to have bigger things, but along with bigger things and having more, requires more money.

Water Security

i use eco friendly water filters. I think this is the best way to make a difference. I use to drink nothing but bottled water, because i didnt trust the purification of tap water, however i realized that by drinking bottled water, i was still doing an injustice because we still had to dispose of the water bottles.

Food Security Imagine

Tonight i am eating dinner alone, at my apartment, as i do most of the time. I am eating baked chicken breast with potatos and steamed broccoli. I purchased my dinner from the grocery story. I prepared the dish and it is very tasty. Being independent has taught me how to be quite the cook. (smile)

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
