Bartering

This is the first time I've ever known what the trading system was called, It's called bartering. I recently traded a book that was of no use to me for a book I've never read. I've also traded a helping hand for another helping hand. I am thinking that if our economy goes at a downfall we may be able to survive by going back to the traditional ways of the bartering system.

Money in the future

I watched a doc**entary a long time ago. It said something that made me think for a long while. It was true. The brilliant piece of information that I had to think over was:

If there was no debt, we wouldn't have a need for money.

Take some time to think over this, is it true or not?

Unfortunately that debt will never go away. Therefore money will always exist. And as I look at our economy right now, there is too much…

Water day

In 2020 I'd love to get a wh*** bunch of people to sign there name. Which means that they want clean water. After the list has traveled the world I'd like to send all presidents a copy. Another thing I'd like to do is create a national pump day, where everyone lines up at a pump and pumps gallons and gallons of water until their hands tire out.

The Water Challange

I may get together with a leadership group and take part in this challenge: http://thewaterproject.org/thewaterchallenge.asp

In my previous blog post, you have read about the things this non-profit orginization does.

Till then, I will try to donate, inform people about the lack of water and ask if they could take part in…

The Water Project

www.thewaterproject.org is a non-profit organization that helps people in need of safe water. They help build wells and filtration systems in communities with a lack of clean water. So the woman wouldn't have to make the 3 mile trip to the stream and back. This Christian organization started… Continue

A different way

Everyone has touched their music player, cell phone, computer, tv remote in the last 12 hours right? Well it's an everyday instinct. You press a couple buttons and it comes to life. But what if there were no buttons? What if it was like the iTouch, but instead of touching the screen you touch your arm? Or you could touch the closest hard surface and control your computer that is miles away? I think that Technology is heading in that direction already. Next thing we know. We'll be touching our… Continue

Gardening

I did a community service project where I went to elderly living communities and helped mow there lawns, pull weeds, trim the overgrown plants, cut branches. Iv'e also planted some vegetables and fruits. It was a great experience for me in learning how to do yard work like this. Because this work was done for free, i'm pretty sure that the elders I volunteered for have a garden which they can enjoy.

The future- A better place

2020 is not that far. Just 10 years! But technology is advancing faster than those 10 years. In 2020, pen and paper will be extinct! More years and people will forget that you can make paper with trees. It's so exciting to see where life gets us, yet so depressing to see that we can't even keep up with the current technology. At least we EVOKIANS will find a way to get people off the computer or phone and thinking about solutions to the social world. I admit that I am not doing much to change… Continue

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal. I walk to the fridge and open it to see what there is for me to eat. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
