A crash course in changing the world.
I think evoke should also tackle political topics, like manipulating, censored media and biased coverage, which are important current issues.
What i don't like are the private options of your submissions. On Missions you can only select "All" "Friends" "Private", but you can't for example make it visible for all logged in evoke agents and invisible for public. This is even more of an issue for Quests, because everyone can read your submissions by searching "your name + evoke" on…

My group of people involves everyone. During an outbreak it can come to a lack of drugs. My idea is that everyone who hoarded drugs in the beginning because of panic can advertise them online in a later phase. So that people who realise that they bought too much for themselfes can offer it to people in need. Hoarding can happen to everyone in tough situations, so people could do a good thing after they calmed down and are able do think rational again. Another possibility could be that a…

After reading the secrets i chose "How do People React in a Pandemic?".
The article shows that overreacting can also have a positive outcome "People who have gone through it come out on the other side calmer and better able to cope". A point of view i haven't realised like that before.
Also it showed me that denial is much more common and the ways how you can fight it: "Legitimize fear, Things to do, Things to decide, Love, Hate".
All points dealing with allowing fear as…

A Community managed Eco-tourism enterprise:
In short terms: A very good forrest area got ripped off by different people. A commitee was formed by local people to reforest that area again. Now the region is in a very good regenerated state again with animals(spotted rhinos, leopard, tiger, deers and more). At the same time, without destroying the forrest, the area is supporting people with fodder and even firewood. Based on the new nature experience, so called eco-tourism…

It's the year 2086! I remember the times from my childhood, when social interaction started to shift from personal contact to communication via technology. I want the next generations to remember that there was a time when you didn't need to answer an email in an hour, where it took a week to get an answer from some person because the letters delivery took that time. Of course new technologies have much pros and the time speedup is one in most cases, but one must not forget to take his time,…

A crisis in my region could be a social crisis. Unequal distribution of wealth and privileges are causing a social tension. Of course as a community we should do everything to prevent such a trend, but in case of an actual breakout of violence we should track all activies happening in germany and discover core areas so security forces can focus on them to protect uninvolved people. Also citizens could inform theirselfes on current riots and avoid these areas as good as possible. The…

This week i tried out paypal. Paypal offers an online payment and money transfer system. The advantage, as a micropayment-capable system is, that payments are instantly credited to the recipients account. Furthermore you only need to know the email-address of the person you want to send money to, global transactions = no problem.
I myself used it to donate a few dollars to path.org - a great entrepreneurial approach for global health.

I think a big change could be to lower the dependency on conventional money by using a time based currency. The future of living could be a small self supporting community. If special knowledge or help(working power) of one member is needed by another, instead of paying money a time bank could be used. The member who is helping "earns" working hours on the time bank, which he then can use to pay another community member for
his working power. Timebanks already exist all over the world…

My favourite clean-water project is the so called watercone. It is a cone made out of Macrolon, which is a highly resistant material against UV radiation, salt and deformation. The main principle of the watercone is based on evaporation. The watercone can be placed on saltwater or a dirty puddle, insolation evaporates the water under the cone which condenses afterwards at the material and is collected. Result of this process is clean drinking water.
However the watercone had not the…

My social entrepreneur is alxram, he is a user on the website instructables.com and created the group "Alternative Energy DIY". Not the user himself is imporant to me, but the idea of creating small sustainable enery solutions all by yourself. Various projects around sustainable energy sources are listed in the group including instructions how to build them. Projects range from wind turbines to Breath powered USB chargers and many of them use recycled materials from old electrical devices.…

I think a big challenge for food safety is the waste of good food.
On one hand there is a waste on the producers side, like some evoke players already mentioned. For example, food is disposed only because it has some small flaws even though it would still be eatable without any risk for one's health but supermarket owners want their wares to look fresh and new all the time so the change their range of goods more often than it is actually necessary.
On the other hand consumers are…

Actually I’m not quite sure, were I’m going to be in the year 2020. If I had to make a wish, I would like to impact the world with my work in new technologies. Therefore, it would be great if I could develop some innovative method which is helpful to people and makes their lives easier and more worth living. Especially older people can profit from new innovations. For example, they just developed some shoes that include a location-tracking-system for people suffering from Alzheimer’s…

Aung San Suu Kyi was born in June 1945 in Burma. She is the only daughter of the revolutionist Aung Sang who fought for Burma's independence from the British Empire in 1947. Unfortunately, rivals assassinated Aung Sang in the very same year. Suu Kyi eventually moved to different countries to go to collage and university. In 1988 Suu Kyi returned to Burma and started leading the pro-democracy movement which was the reason she was placed under house arrest in 1989. Despite of the given arrest…

If you want to make a change in the world, it is not enough to just sit at home and think about what would help the world. Your ideas may be great ones but if you don’t take action they probably won’t impact other people the way you want them to. Therefore, you actually have to act to create a better world and within this action you have to go to where the deficiencies are. This is the best way to be most successful with your visions as you can see the real problems and respond to upcoming…
