My City of 2020

Here's a quick sketch of my idea: http://www.urgentevoke.com/photo/mission7-imagine?context=user

My City would be the ideal resilient one...especially by 2020.

All the infrasture is remodelled to simple easy and effective usage.

Housing accomodations would be on one side for the benefit of health care,

The city Central is the Central with all emergency…

Resilience Near Me

From the current crisis, the resilience that has surfaces was the block of roads to certain areas for the community's safety.

The people around my area know pretty well about these new temporary restrictions that have been set up, since they have been widely announced all over the local media to ensure that everyone adapts to this new and temporary change for everyone's own benefits and safety.

This is one of the few things that are rare to see because of the rare…

Thailand's Political Crisis

Right now, I'm in Thailand, not literally stuck in the midst of the political crisis currently happening right now right this minute in Bangkok, but I'm pretty near it. About an hour and a half away from it to be exact.

Even so the crisis is quickly spreading, and I'm afraid it might even land right on my door step pretty soon.

If it really were to happen, I'd ask for Ushahidi's help. Their system of filtering all the information live and the accuracy of it is all…

We Need the Water

I followed up on David Strelneck on Twitter, and found that he really does emphasize the importance of water.....

Many people are aware of it, Many people aren't.

Many people do something to help, Many people don't.

The main goal is EVERYONE should be aware of it and do something to help.

Common everyday tasks can be improved to save water.

Don't leave the tap running for whatever reason. Washing hands etc.

Even during washing, select…

Happy World Water Day

Now it is world water day 2020!!

The event would be held all around the world.

The title would be: Water to the Land!!

The goal would be to have all the people around to world to build roof gardens, so when storms come the ground would absorb it, so the drains won't be over flooded.

Also another activity for the day would be to "dump" all of any extra water to plants or trees so the waste can be absorbed into the soil for further use....excluding the toxic… Continue

Clean Water Project

The UNICEF Tap Project is very successful and very inspiring. The fact that restaurants can ask for the 1 dollar donation is a small, but very helpful act that contributes to UNICEF's project.

The fact that the goal is to reduce the problem to 50% percent by 2015 (which is in 5)
is a very fine idea to introduce that within the time span more people would be able to have access to safe sanitation water.

Snacks for Service

The new currency I used was the Snacks for Service Currency. In my words, SFS.

In exchange for a box of crackers that my friend gave me, I'm servicing her by teaching Japanese lessons.

With another, in exchange for sweets, I'm servicing her by teaching math.

It's a currency with no actual coins, but food in exchange for the work where both sides will benefit.

So instead of paying a friend with actual cash to help teach you homework, you exchange the service in foods… Continue

DIY Money

The biggest impact on our world now is the magnitude of virtual money just added the zeros.

The Do It Yourself currency just takes things to another level. The fact that actual money is "converted" so to speak to virtual money like the QQ currency is part of it.

The fact that people value this virtual currency so much is that it impacts what you use to buy items, and you see it as a "unique" currency, special from others around the world, and…

The MOST important during an outbreak

During the recent influenza outbreaks that our people have faced every year, it seems to be practically expected that the influenza with adapt and change the next upcoming years.

Public trust, I think, is the most important, self confidence too.

Without the trust, the public wouldn't follow any of the suggestions. From this, if a new pandemic will come, I think groups should be made that make the people aware of basic, but important daily tasks…

This is an idea I just thought of

Well about alternative power storage...

You know those torches that you can use without batteries, but you have to shake them to make it light up?

Well what if we make a smaller version of that and make it so it's a device say the size of a small matchbox.
There are already those "step counters" that count your steps.

So combine those two ideas, and have athletes put on the device, and when they…

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal. I walk to the fridge and open it to see what there is for me to eat. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Foods are vacc** sealded for easy…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
