A crash course in changing the world.
So I know one needs both logic and creativity.
The way I see it there is enough logic and knowledge floating around the workspaces of today.
So I want to focus on a way of increasing creativity in adults much to the creativity levels children posess. However; one difference should ultimately exist between the creativity that the adults will posess in relation to a children's creativity: the naive…

About 70% of the planet is covered with ocean.
Around 97.2% of the earth's water is salt water.
We are facing a water crisis in many third and second world countries. In the near future the water crisis could spread into the more advanced nations; especially with the growing population. With such a small amount of water actually available and drinkable,…

You blog. I blog. We all blog.
Who has it down pat? Well no-one actually.
Some blogs are just better than others.
Recently - well of course recently seeing as my grand time as an Evoke member does not even total 48 hours - I have been reading a great many blogs by all of you. You never fail to amaze me. However, I find myself in despair over well. . . the sensitive topic of how to…

March 10, 2020.
7pm.
My house.
I'm at home. I grabbed some takeaway on the way home from work - just the usual - organic stir fry with some free range chicken. It tastes ok, not as great as my food though. Although the food is concious of the origins of its ingredients, I cannot help noticing the fat content is relatively high. I check the nutrition information which I find within…

How to increase food security for someone is a... difficult mission considering healthy/safe food is available where I live. Organic food is available in the supermarket, but not everyone buys it due to its crazy price.
So my contributions to the mission were to
-Raise awareness aboutorganic food
-Contact the major supermarkets in relation to their pricing…

Ok so Ive read all your messages and comments and they've helped me a great deal. Any criticism has helped me develop. Each time I post a blog I think about it more. I am hoping you will all slowly see any progress or increased maturity.
I understand completely what you mean about the right combination of creativity + logic
And if you're right then the large amount of time I have on my hands…

Ok, so I sort of have this idea.
And I need YOUR HELP and ideas.
I am thinking of starting a, well I'm not sure what form yet, but somewhere where adults can go. The project will aim to increase creativity, 'thinking like a child' and widen one's perspective of the world.
Ultimately? It could take any…

Clean, safe, accessible water is an issue around the globe. So how can I make an impact on the output of a company who provides clean water to those who need it?
I am unemployed.
I am not yet an adult.
I have not started uni yet.
But I want to make an impact
So how could I possibly help a company? Donations are…

Never let the child within you die.
Michelle's post [http://www.urgentevoke.com/profiles/blogs/the-secret-or-the-forgotten] made me stop and think. How much are we missing out on? As one goes through the education system not enough emphasis is placed upon creativity. As adults, playful, more individual ideas are often dismissed as 'childish' or…

People are piled on couches, all close friends. It is new years.
Only a minute until the start of the new decade.
You can hear the intake of breath, waiting for the final countdown.
'Five, four, three, two, ONE! Happy new year!'
'Welcome to 2020!'
'Hurrahh!'
Hugs and kisses are…

People everywhere are creating more energy efficient ways to do things. Just everyday people. A friend of my dad recently bought himself a new 4x4, in which he then had the engine converted to run on leftover oil from fast food chains [i.e. McDonalds]. I’m sure people have done this before, but the wh*** concept…

''At any given time, half of the world’s hospital beds are occupied by patients suffering from a water-related disease.''
''Every 15 seconds a child dies from a water-related disease.'' -That's four children dying per minute, or around 240 children dead every hour.
I don't care how many people have already blogged about it; it's absolutely amazing. […

In Australia [where I live] food security is rarely an issue. From time to time water might be contaminated for a limited amount of time, but purified water is always near at hand.
No. Where I live there are almost no food security issues. Well; that's what we are meant to think. However, the way I see it, food security in Australia is more of an issue than one might think.
Australia's biggest threat?…

Is it possible to narrow it down to an individual hero? Maybe, maybe not. I personally feel heros never stand alone, the creation of something great involves a comitted group effort.
Therefore my hero is not just a hero. My hero is a group of heroes.
My heroes are the creators, bloggers and followers of AfriGadget [www.afrigadget.com]. This is a site where thousands of people from around Africa contibute to create a…

Life is unpredictable.
Especially mine.
Things just.. happen.
I cannot guess where I shall be. I am still unsure what University course I wish to undertake. I refuse to follow society's cookie-moulds, knowing what they will do with their life from the instant they reach the tender age of 10. When teachers used to ask me what I would like to do with my life, my answer would change every time. It still does. Lawyer, artist, councillor, prime minister, sports…
