A special day of the year 2020

A special day of the year 2020 could be a great reunion with my best wind an kite surfing friends at the beach of St. Peter Ording at the northern sea. During the last five years we hat so stunning weeks at this beach with great wind conditions and waves and were enjoying the community of us friends. These are the most uncomplicated and relaxing times I have ever had. We did not spend much money, did not have much luxury, but have a great time at the beach and on the water.

I am sure,…

Cooking with really fresh ingredients

I like cooking very much, for me it is a kind of compensation for the daily life full of stress. In my opinion this mentioned daily stress is creeping more and more into our private life. No time to recreate, no time to cook a good soup with fresh vegetables from the garden. Garden? I hope that the word “garden” is still known in 100 years!

Most of us are eating even in these years so much frozen and ready cooked food; it will be terrifying how many people will do this in the next…

Laugh Day

One of the most important things during a pandemic flu is to calm down and keeping the mood of the people positive. What could be more effective to reach this than laughing and forgetting about the world outside and its sorrows?

I would like to organize a kind of “laugh day” with the support of local comedians. There could be some channels with its different topics. Especially different humor types should be regarded to reach most of the community.

There is one possibility to give…

EVOKE part 2

Sunrise. The world glares in the morning dew of the last night. It is going to be one of these beautiful days you could imagine. Everything is friendly, people love each other and no one is fighting or arguing. There are no political or ecological problems. All these bad problems are solved. You are enjoying this moment of satisfaction in a very emotional way.

It is not possible for you to trust this abnormal situation. You are scrutinizing and looking behind this beautiful scene and…

EVOKE manifesto

The evoke network works in a very simple way. It is simple, but definitely a very powerful weapon against recent problems. It is not necessary to lose any words about rules, because there are no more rules than engaging yourself voluntarily. Thinking about actual problems and to carve out approaches against the worldwide problems of today is the only necessary rule.

There are two stages of using and engaging via evoke:

Stage 1: create your own and unique thoughts about what scare…

Future of Evoke

For my personal view, there is not much potential to improve evoke. The most important approach is not even to go out of your house and really do something, but it is to reflect recent problems of our community. Sensitizing people in a sustainable way is the big power of evoke. If it could be possible to connect the ideas of the evoke network with political and ecological decisions of our world of today, it would be perfect. There is no more powerful to improve our community than the…

Me in 2020

In 2020 I will be 34 years old. I am travelling around the world with my wife and two beautiful children in a camper van. Our family will have I very interesting time and we will make a lot of experiences. We are going surfing where ever it is possible and rest where we like it. We are visiting the most beautiful places on earth and treat the nature with respect. In this way it is possible to grasp our great planet with all of its beautiful creatures and areas. We are living from day to day…

Roger Moore

I choose Roger Moore to shadow. I like him very much and he is quite pleasant. He engages in the UNESCO and in his own words that this is the most important thing he ever did. The world needs more of those people who do not rest on their achievements, but try to improve our community. He was a very successful actor and could have enjoyed the years after his career and not care about those things. But like many other important people in the retirement he uses his time to help our community…

Outbreak Communication

In my opinion communication during an outbreak is the most important thing. For a long time I did not notice this, but some weeks ago a watched a very interesting movie about this issue. It is called Contagion and highly recommendable. It is about a pandemic which started in china and spread into the wh*** world. The special of this movie is the way the story is brought to the viewer. It is not in the normal Hollywood-Action way, but it is more personally and catches the viewer especially…

The Lake Amatitlan Basin and its doubtful future

One of the biggest lakes in guatemala and one of the ones with the longest ties to human history in the world is going to be lost in the near future.

There are lots of reasons why this could happen, but it is defenitely a fact that the pollution of the wh*** area around, leads to the uselessness of the water as a natural ressource.

Over the last 200 years the depth of the water was down from 33 to 18 metres. A study mda by the Authority for the Sustainable Management of Lake…

Ushahidi

In my opinion Ushahidi could be a really powerful weapon against many kinds of crisis. It could be used to identify the most impacted regions in case of an epidemic or the spread of a disease with the help of shared information. Another idea is the case of an earthquake or a flood. It could help to identify the information and publish it to alert the community around.

Concretely, in the former years the avian flu or bird flu which spread in Europe and Asia could have been regarded from…

Lighting up lives: African women train as “barefoot” solar engineers

At the barefoot college of india, normal women from small villages are trained to become african solar technicians. Now they are able to electrify their villages and areas

around. On the one hand, it is a good approach to improve the women's reputation within their community, to empower the women and affording them a new position of respect in their communities. On the other hand, it is a really productive way to improve the small villages' independence.

The program has been…

the future of money: an approach

In my opinion the conventional use of money is out of date. It is time to change especially the environment of it. I think there is much potential connected with the old fashioned concept of money to improve our community besides our normal lifes.

There could be a kind of cashback system for everybody who who handles the duty of our community. I am not only focussing on those people who collect some bottle duting the night in front of a disco, but that is good example of what I mean.…

CuveWaters II

Using the energy of the ocean

The usage of the power of the ocean is becoming more an more important, because of its big theoretical potential. There were built several test facicities worldwide in which the alternative concepts of earning energy from the ocean. At the moment there are two different approaches of realizing this. One is the Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion in which the temperature diffenrence between cold and warm water is used. There is a difference of about 20 degrees between the water on the top of the…

What's the biggest food security challenge near you?

The biggest challenge to food security in my local community is the Peiner Tafel. It is an constitution developed and managed by the catholic an protestantic local churches. The people who work there do their jobs voluntarily to help poorer people who are not able to buy their daily food or clothes or support them in their lifes. …

Provide skills, not just finished technologies

The current revolution in design for developing countries is the notion of co-creation, of teaching the skills necessary to create the solution,

rather than simply providing the solution. By involving the community throughout the design process, you can help equip people to innovate and contribute to the evolution of the product. Furthermore, they acquire the skills needed to create solutions to a much wider variety of problems. They are empowered.

I like this approach very much.…

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
