IMAGINE4 vGlobal Day ~ March 24 2020 ~ Avatar Action Summit

I imagine virtual reality will have advanced by the year 2020 to work on hand-held devices eliminating the need for high-speed access and high-end computers. This means people from all over the world will be able to virtually connect and collaborate, a global meeting of the minds. Here's the poster from my event, vGLOBAL DAY the first Avatar Action Summit. Be there.

ACT4 Jane Goodall's Project Blue

I've always admired Jane Goodall http://www.janegoodall.org/, even heard her speak once where she had the entire audience sparked about her passion to start a program called Roots and Shoots. That was ages ago, and I'm so happy to see not only is her program a success, but Roots and Shoots Canada has branched out to another initiative, Project Blue:…

LEARN4 United Nations Water Org

The United Nations UN-Water org http://www.unwater.org/flashindex.html because this is a joint effort to bring awareness to many countries: "UN-Water is composed of representatives of 26 United Nations organizations. United Nations organizations include those responsible for major funds and programs,… Continue

IMAGINE3 Power to the People

I'm at my favorite outdoor music festival in the middle of nowhere listening to musicians from all over the globe, heard as clear as if I was sitting with the group who arrived early and camped out at the front. This band is popular and soon it will be my time to pedal to keep those amps pumped. Perhaps I'll grab my partner and dance on that kooky… Continue

ACT3 Recharge while you Wash

This exercise got me thinking, what do I use every day that the energy could be harnessed and used to recharge a cel phone, and batteries for a LCD flashlight or radio, given both are used in Africa. Well, for one, I am lucky enough I just need to turn on a tap for water.

My invention would easily attach to a water tap and the running water diverted through the device would be enough to spin the water-wheel part inside and generate enough voltage to recharge while the water…

LEARN3 Bloom Box Power Inventor K.R. Sridhar

I chose an inventor I hadn't heard of before now. K.R. Sridhar is the brains behind 'Bloom Box', an alternative source of power which works because large US companies (Google, WalMart, FedEx and eBay) are currently testing it, and because he has a vision that "In five to ten years, we would like to be in every home,". He's thinking big.

The Bloom Box, according to the press "generates its power wirelessly through a combination of oxygen and a fossil fuel…

IMAGINE2 Tonight's Menu for March 10, 2020

I'm sitting at my regular table as is everyone else at theirs. We wait, patiently but in silence with a collected gloom hanging in the air.

Wait a minute.

I don't like the sounds of that so adjusting my thinking to positive mode...

We're sitting in our local pub-style restaurant, menu's flipped open but it's the Special of the Day that's caught our attention. It has locally-grown written all over it with everything…

ACT2 Buy Local To Feed a Local

Our small island has a wonderful summer community Saturday market where it's as much a social event as it is a sale of home-grown this and that. People of all ages wander around chatting to friends and stopping at the "regulars" tables who, week after week hold down their spot, rain or shine, hot or cold, or simply battened down tight when the winds come. Everyone knows everyone except the tourists and it's hard not to be merry with the live music from a local band a far cry from the canned… Continue

LEARN2 Food for a Small Island

I live on a small west coast Canadian island where the vast majority of fresh vegetables have to go for a ride on our ferry to get here, most certainly after a long journey in planes and trucks beforehand. I wasn't surprised to see a local grocery sale flyer, three of the four fresh items had done so, their place of origin far far away. Do we really need this stuff? This exercise has got me thinking about that.

I doubt if anyone would take notice if our grocery store…

IMAGINE1 Where I'll be in 2020

I will be in my 70s and the last of my blond hair long turned to silver. I will be well on my way to being a wise elder and will reflect on the years gone by with a smile on my face and a heart full of love. I will be happy that I chose the simple life and didn't get hooked in to the notion that having 'stuff' brings happiness. I will have made a difference in the lives of many by doing small things in my own way; an orphan child sponsored, an abused woman mentored, an elder assisted across the… Continue

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal. I walk to the fridge and open it to see what there is for me to eat. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
