I´ve opt to help someone kickstart their project (ok, to be honest I´ve just donated 1 $, but I think this task is more about getting experience with things like this, so everybody should be ok with that I think).

The project I´ve chosen is this one:

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/hickies/hickies-turn-your-kicks...

as I think it´s a pretty cool and useful idea, cause everybody knows the issues with shoelaces (at least I do;-)).
(Note: If you want to donate some money on a kickstarter project, too, keep in mind that you need a credit card to do so).

Even if I haven´t any experience with starting projects on kickstarter, I think it´s pretty easy and the good thing is, that everybody with a good idea and an internet connection can start their project, so if there isn´t pledged enough money in the end, the chance to fail with your project isn´t that big (or even doesn´t exixt), because you aren´t able to start production and you´re probably not willing to take the (financial) risk for yourself if this is the case.
As I´ve mentioned above, anybody with a great idea and internet connection can become a successfull business founder and since there are some projects already existing (or already in the pipeline) to provide people even in developing countries with computers and network connections (read about it in some of my other posts) also these people are able to become (economcily) successfull and are so helping to build an own economy in their respective country, which is (at least in my opinion) a huge chance for becoming unindependent and helping them to take action and to develop their country, too, just by having great ideas (ok sounds easier than it really is, but the possibility is what counts).

But.... for future usage I think the people behind kickstarter.com need to change some things.
For example they should implement more options to donate for projects, because not everybody owns and/or want to own a credit card and once you´ve spend your money you can´t get it back, even if it (the projected you opted for) isn´t going to be found, so in the future we all have to find solutions and possibilities for people all over the world to help other people becoming successfull entrepreneurs (micro credits, community currencies etc. are already some nice ideas).

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
