A crash course in changing the world.
Choosing a hero is an act which is hopelessly somewhere between difficult and easy. As I look for thought leaders, particularly in my realm of interests in social media and healthcare, it is evident that there are countless individuals that I can turn to for insight and guidance.
I have benefited from the tremendous resourcefulness of both Joe Heinowski and Sam Basta, connections of mine as a result of LinkedIn’s discussion groups. Links and leads have been offered by each, resulting in further connections that have provided direction in the way of innovation trends.
I have selected two additional heroes to follow; one of whom is respected for her leadership in the application of social media, Susannah Fox, of the Pew Internet and American Life Project; the other of whom is an end user of social media, a resident within a senior living environment, Edsel Odom. I am following both via Twitter.
My hope is that this choice of heroes affords a broad, encompassing perspective that accounts for how social media innovation is being envisioned as well as applied.
